My Dad’s helper is amazing.

Very pleased with how well my Dad and his helper get along. My only concern is the missed communication between “[name removed]” the answering machine and the agency. My message to stop the helper for a couple of weeks because of our move was never relayed from [name removed] to the agency.

Disappointed

Unfortunately we were unable to utilize Senior Helpers except for the first day. On that day my mother in law was admitted into the hospital with an illness and then back to rehabilitation, and from there to an assisted living facility. We had paid in advance for a week of service which we never used. They didn't refund our advanced payment.

Senior Helpers of Clearwater, FL

The owners were great and tried to get the right help but one caregiver sat with EarPods in his ears listening to music he barely communicated with my husband and he got him in the wheelchair but was not secured and he fell out. Another caregiver did not work the manual hoyer lift properly and dropped my husband on the floor and lastly another caregiver had a panic attack and left me and the transport man get him to his appointment. They all want easy cases where they sit and do nothing One caregiver named Rosa was great she was compassionate provided my husband with a bath changed him and spoke to him . I was always there to assist them . I expected more . Other than [removed name] all they were were sitters. I don't know what they logged in and said they did but For that much money I think i expected more and hot less.

Flexible but inconsistent

We found Senior Helpers when searching for a bathing service that didn’t require a weekly minimum. The intake process and availability of services was good. While we were assured that a consistent care giver who was a good personality match with my mom giver would be provided, this wasn’t always the case. While Senior Helpers did accommodate requests to assign a preferred caregiver, that individual frequently didn’t come. The replacements had various levels of competency and engagement, which was disappointing and stressful. Understanding that this is a tough job and hiring quality individuals can be challenging, we made the best of it. We no longer use the service since my mom now receives bathing support as part of her extended home health service covered by insurance. However, I would likely reengage Senior Helpers should the need arise.
