When it came to the point where she could not be safely left alone she became a resident of Abode, and the last two years of her life were the happiest I had seen her in 20 years. She loved the staff, food and the other residents who she called her home. It is a very difficult for a loved to have to go to a Personal Care Home, which for years[Name Removed] resisted. But I can assure her going to Abode, not only as I said was the happiest I saw her in years ,but also I was assured that she was safe. It wasn't the things they had to do that makes Abode special, but the things they don't have to do that makes them special, i.e. they gave my Mom a wonderful 100th Birthday party, the Christmas Parties and the genuine care and concern that the staff shows their residents.
