This is my seventh place they are all the same. The food is pretty bad, and most of them at Evergreen. There were a few dishes that were outstanding, though. Some places had too many mentally ill people with other people and that was hard. But the staff at everyone are very dedicated and made for the job. This place is the cheapest but if you want more services, you have to pay. I live in a studio., And except for them picking up trash or cleaning the bathroom on the floor that is all the services I get. It was unusual here too. I have to buy my own toilet paper and other supplies that are personal. If you have a loved one in any of these facilities, one of the most important things you can do is get them out for a ride or bring them something good to eat or take them out to eat. This is important. Clients who do best are the ones that have family involved as much as they can. Make sure the place is all locked up like after 9 o'clock. What would be very good is to check your local government agency to see if this home has ever been ripped written up and how many times. And for the client who is more confused, it is important in the family as staff questions or if you are charged extra on a bill it is important to ask questions of both the family and faculty because they can be overcharge If your family member is a TV watcher, it would be nice if it had spectrum but even then they pick and choose the shows they want to pay for there are many different plans. Also, maintenance staff everywhere or fantastic. They are knowledgeable and really nice guys. And I have never known them to charge for anything. The transportation situation is different at all the homes, but the best one was on a Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. The driver started at eight in the morning. I didn't quit till five in the afternoon and will take you anywhere you drop off to three people different places and come back he was fantastic. And if you absolutely have to go earlier or later, It was there for you no charge.. And when he had to take a day off on vacation, one of the other guys will fill in for both of them knew the city and the county. How you dress is never important, so you don't have to spend a lot of money on new clothes. Just bring your favorite things from home and hopefully a project or a game. You like to play. Be sure to try out all the activities. We never know what you would like. This year to do physical therapy. It really does help you physically and mentally, I do get better!

So coming from a facility that was not doing what they were supposed to do, we find ourselves ready to do a lot but quickly realizing that we don't have to do much because this facility is actually doing what they are supposed to do! So we find ourselves sleeping better at night not fearing in the middle of the night phone calls because of lack of care.

Everyone is very nice and have been accommodating. They serve too much food that most seniors can't eat, so they waste a lot. But the food is good for the most part. My mom says too many carrots. Always have peas and carrots everyday. Could have more variety of vegetables and more fresh fruit.

Very friendly and caring staff. One bedrooms nice size and now Mom has been moved to an efficiency since she fell. Basic amenities and social activities. We don't need pool or a bowling ally so saw no need for extra expense.

What they could improve on would be the food and the cost. However, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

In the Fall of 2021, both of my parents urgently needed a place to live together, yet separate lives due to the level of assistance and care they individually needed. A place for Mom really understood their needs. My mother needed assisted living and my father needed Memory care. I toured BWP, and saw how nice and clean the facility is, and how caring and nice all the staff was in every area. All the apartments are private, and secure. My father has passed and the staff took such great care of him in [removed] until the very end. My mother still loves living at BWP, and has friends that are in her peer group, daily fun activities, three meals a day, and daily communication with staff on how she is doing. Her doctors are located in the Drake hospital that is located right down the hall. This is the perfect safe, secure and stress free environment for my mother, and we are very happy she loves where she is living at BWP.

Mom reluctantly agreed to move to an assisted living community after a third fall. She is 99 and had been living alone for 6 years since my Dad died. She had lived in the same house for 72 years. She was not happy about moving to an Assisted Living community since 'daughters are suppose to care for their mothers'. Fortunately we found Bridgeway Pointe in Cincinnati and everything that they say they are, THEY ARE. The people care for my mother like she's family. The director sees that the residents are immediately welcomed and my mom had friends for meals that first day. These same friends now knock on her door daily to see that she joins them in social events. Mom is happy and cared for. She has her own one bedroom apartment, a variety of meals, 2 or 3 social events everyday and it is very affordable since this is a non-profit. We looked at many places for my Mother and this is the only place where we felt everyone sincerely cares for the residents.

[name removed] the retirement coordinator is great at her position. She makes the transition to Senior living at Bridgeway Pointe very easy. Overall the whole staff is very good. I would recommend Bridgeway Pointe to anyone looking for a place for their elderly loved ones.

I was very impressed with Bridgeway Pointe. It was a toss up between this facility and the one we chose, this was our second choice. The reason we did not choose this facility was because there were not as many activities going on, and they had no activities on the weekends. The people, the facility, and the apartments were absolutely lovely. They also did restaurant style dining which we preferred.

I would recommend this community for your loved one. The staff have been excellent so far. They have activities like bingo, cards, a concert for the residents and more to keep the residents busy in the community.

We chose Bridgeway Pointe because they had availability when we needed it quickly, especially with trying to move her with COVID. We had also had mutual friends who had their mom was here and had a good experience, so it was highly recommended to us. The staff members here seem to care more about their residents than others places that we have been, they take great care of her and love my mom. I would highly recommend them and already have to some of my friends in the same situation.

Possibility but living style is more like a college apt than I'm used to.

The entire [removed] keeping, nurses, STNAS, admins, etc. go beyond their job descriptions to be aware of my dad's needs and habits and address them as needed. The atmosphere is friendly and homey.

My mother is a current resident. I cannot, in all good conscious, recommend bridgeway pointe. The floor she is on is isolated, few folks are around her. She has been there for several years and the walls have not been repainted and remain scuff covered as does her room. It often d takes several requests for routine maintenance to be completed in her room and it is up to us to "find" these items- like overhead lights out, blinds not working, sprinkler heads not covered, bathroom floors curling by a shower. Deep cleaning, as in scrubbing of shower, doors, etc, is completed by me and my sister once or twice a year. Catholic mass is not offered every Saturday or Sunday, maybe 2 or 3 times a month. the "resident rosary" on saturdays has long since disbanded yet it is still on the calendar. the stretch any exercise class depends on the instructor for the length and quality. For those who can no longer read, do to stroke or other brain trauma, there is no or VERY limited announcement of activities- I still make mom a character based calendar so she knows what is going on. There was a long stretch without any therapy animals for visiting-I did see one last week so maybe they are back. There are raised beds in the courtyard for the residents for planting- but if the residents don't plant it seems as if they remain empty. So why is mom still there-pricing and she has made some friends

I am really pleased with the thoughtful kindness professionalism that Bridgeway Pointe has provided in helping my mom transition to her new home. [Name removed] and [Name removed] listen and always approachable. They have addressed every concern no matter how small. My mother is actively involved in the daily activities and really enjoys the menus and chatting with her new friends.

We have been living at Bridgeway Pointe for three months now and are completely happy with our choice. I visited eight or ten other possible facilities suggested by our counselor at A Place for Mom, but I fell in love with Bridgeway's welcoming atmosphere and flexibility in accommodating personal needs. The building is beautiful inside and out, the meals are varied and bountiful, and the dining room staff will go out of their way to make sure the meals are satisfying to you. There are many other pluses (especially the confidence of living in a non-profit under University Hospital's umbrella as well as the convenience and availability of Drake Hospital's therapeutic services) but the main attraction for me is what drew me here in the first place--everyone works to see that you are HAPPY here. Residents and staff alike look out for one another and respect each person's dignity. I guess the best way to describe it is to say Bridgeway feels like home.
