The staff is very helpful, especially when my mom first arrived. Very clean, and cozy feeling. The closets and the bathrooms are very spacious. Mom says the food is good, and plenty to eat.

Staff is very kind and makes Mom feel special , for example gifts or cards for birthday and holiday. Only issues have been lost laundry and no caffeinated coffee. Space is small but we knew that going in. Overall she's happy and it's so much better than where she was.

Brookdale was an attractive facility, with the exception of stained carpeting in places. I visited at a time when the residents were having a holiday entertainment event, which was nice to see. I saw a one bedroom, but studio was in the process of renovation. I would put this place on my short list for consideration.

All 5's with the exception of food which is a 4. To be fair, my mom's super picky about food. Staff was extremely helpful with our transition, they made the process easy during a very trying time.

Overall experience - we felt lucky to find a place without a waiting list. The move in went well and my aunt was happy. We have no specific issues regarding cleanliness although things can always be better, particularly in the nooks and crannies. My aunt is happy with the cleanliness. The staff are very friendly. We have no issues with this. My aunt seems to get the care she needs. We have no issues with her care. My aunt appreciates the flexibility of the kitchen and their willingness to adapt their menu to her needs. She has no complaints. On occasion I have dined at the facility and found the food somewhat bland. My aunt is 97 and nearly blind so she doesn't participate in most activities. She says that the facility is too quiet and would like more music even if it is just the radio playing in the common area. This is difficult to quantify as we don't have any comparables. We do find it expensive as monthly expenses exceed my aunt's monthly income. Fortunately, she has some savings that can cover the excess costs.

It's a nice facility. It's not the most expensive and it's not the least expensive. The food is good. The facility is clean. They could change out the carpets they're a little warm but all in all it's clean. No foul odors. They provide all the basic services and our resident is very happy there. He likes the central location. So we're happy.

While we were there, the staff was consistent and very friendly. My parents enjoy every meal. When they moved in, the maintenance man helped with the TV and other items. We would recommend this facility to other families. We don't have any worries about our parents.

Just like everywhere else they were understaffed at times but we really did think the care givers did an awesome job, we felt they did the best that they could and they really cared for their residents. We were able to have some meals with our loved one and the meals were excellent. Our only complaint was with their billing - we felt they should of been more proactive and stayed on top of the billing more when our loved one started to decline.

It has been a very good experience. I like the cafeteria approach meaning that the services that you may need for a small period of time wasn't permanent. Also they had a great move-in specials that allowed my loved one to get the largest apartment.

I toured Brookdale West Melbourne AL and I would have preferred this Brookdale over the other location we visited. We really had to decide between this community and the one we chose. I really liked Brookdale and the staff were phenomenal, through the roof. I really connected with the sales woman and her boss, who was even more spectacular. I took my mom for day visit and they all reported back how much they loved her and looked forward to having her live there, they were absolutely wonderful. I liked the facility as well, it was very clean. The only thing I didn't like and what turned out to be the deciding factor, was their rooms. They were small and dark with not much lighting. I think there was maybe one window. It was much older facility compared to the place we chose, and I preference a newer more modern place. It had a beautiful feel on the outside, but going inside the rooms felt dark and lonely almost.

The community is very clean and does not have that nursing home smell and her room felt very cozy right away, and has a little kitchenette which she really enjoys. The staff members are very friendly and they have wonderful people there. However the food is very mundane, the meals could improve and have a more balanced diet. Also the activities are still pretty limited and we wish they would encourage our loved one more to get our and about.

If you have a person that needs assisted living and wants to be able to smoke also this is the place for them to go. She is able to go outside and smoke and go as she pleases and that was one of the biggest things for my loved one.

This is a very affordable community for my loved one. The food could be a little better. They don't really have a lot of activities at all, they could use a lot of improvement in this area. The staff are very nice. It really is a nice facility that could just use a few updates.
