Great place to live

I would rate my experience a 4 out of 5. There is so much to love about living here. The staff is always very helpful, and the residents are welcoming and friendly. My apartment is comfortable and has an amazing view. I especially love the tranquil grounds, as well as the art studio and gallery. My only complaint at this time is the disruptive noise from the ongoing construction. However, I know the finished project will be beautiful, and I’m confident that once construction is complete, my rating will be a 5+!

Mom's new home

The staff works well as a team. We are sad to see the sales director leave. He was a gem. His new facility is fortunate to have him. Had we known the upgrades were going to be so extensive. We might have waited until the first of this coming year to move. The new door and windows are great. Cleanliness and food are good. Activities are plentiful and varied.

I am happy to get new residents here!

I moved from a studio to a one-bedroom apartment and love it! I also have a balcony that seems to protrude into a lovely ash tree. There is a storage room about six doors down, which is very convenient. The cost for the one-bedroom is worth it, even though it is more than I paid for the studio. It's a wonderful place to call home, and my kitty is happy too!

Review for Creekside Village

It is a very comfortable retirement home with a very attentive staff. Lots of artists here. Some homes are very dolled up but lack friendliness, this one is friendly. The property, it is nestled (hidden) inside a good and busy city area with easy access to shopping, dining, libraries, exercise centers, pool, and movies. Yet no street noise traffic as we are back private in the property. It is so private I actually passed it when coming home. Abundant wildlife ducks, birds, frogs chirping at night.... so relaxing... reminds me of camping days. Beautiful walk paths and gardens. AND the things you take for granted..... like hot water on demand and great showers.

Transitioning with Joy

After living at Creekside Village for seven months I am delighted to confirm my decision to move here. The apartment is delightful, the staff wonderful, the grounds beautiful, and the social atmosphere is vibrant with friendship and fun! Even the food is good! In addition Creekside is pet friendly and close to many fun crafting stores. I plan on staying here for all my future years.

A Great place to call home

I moved to Creekside Village Retirement in Beaverton 3 1/2 years ago and I have found it to be more than satisfactory on all counts. The meals in our dining room are always well-prepared and offer numerous tasty choices. Our housekeepers do a great job and have never missed a week during the entire time I’ve lived here. I choose to exercise 4 times a week out of the many classes offered. The staff and management are friendly and caring and I enjoy several of the opportunities for social interaction - card games, field trips, trivia contests, nature walks and happy hours, just to name a few. This is my Oregon community and I’m happy and living my best life here.

Great place to live.

Creekside is in a very nice location. We’re by a creek with many trees in a residential neighborhood. We have good meals and activities. Anything I need outside of Creekside is within two miles of Creekside. I’m very happy here.

A great place to live

I’ve lived at Creekside Village for about five years. My dog and I love it! They have great food, the grounds are lovely and walkable, so much wildlife. I also moved here because I’m an artist and they have studios where I can work with pencil and pastels! They’ve been supportive in displaying my artwork in the gallery! So much talent, you should come and take a look!

I found this independent living establishment to offer more space for a lesser fee which is delightful, yet I was surprised at the lack of licensed medical people on board. The staff seemed to be very dedicated and the residence happy and content doing their activities.

Unexpected Pleasures

Each would receive a 5! Beautiful, clean facility and delightful, helpful staff. The people--both residents and staff--are so friendly. The grounds are beautiful to walk around with a creek and large trees. The squirrels and ducks are delightful. Creekside is dog and cat friendly which adds a special bonus. This is a wonderful Place for Mom.

Creekside Village review

The price went up <fee removed> at the one year mark. The food is mostly reheated frozen food, often hot dogs, pizza and other high fat, high sodium foods. The grounds are not fully wheel chair assessable. Lots of safety risks. There is no back up generator for the electricity so when the electricity went out last winter, there was no elevator for two days people could not get to food. There was no one there on staff to help get food to people for the first dinner deliver flashlight or things people might need or check on people. No plan in place. The fire alarm just goes off and no one knows what to do. People just stay in their room. There's no evening secretary or staff on duty so if there's an emergency, you have to rely on EMTs to come to into the building. Lucky for me I do have a set of building keys. The field trip activities are not assessable for people who cannot climb stairs.

My experience at Creekside Village

Overall experience has been great. We looked at approximately a dozen places, and this definitely was the best choice. Very clean. All apartments are cleaned once a week. This is one of the strongest points. ALL of the staff, both office and support, are very pleasant and supportive. Also, many are long-term employees. Care services not applicable, since this is a senior apartment complex and not an assisted living. Some residents have care givers come to their apartment. Meals are excellent. Most residents have to watch their weight. There are 3 cooks here, where most places have trouble keeping one. There are many weekly game sessions, 2-3 weekly shopping trips in the van, a Friday van trip to different locations. The residents have also started some other activities. Excellent value. This was the most inexpensive facility we visited. Also, the grounds are very nice.

Great facility, very happy

Everyone is friendly. Lots of activities/active residents. Management is open to residents starting new groups/activities. Food is good. My MIL is lactose intolerant so her only complaint is some meals have limited dairy free options (eps the desserts.) Many artist residents who enjoy displaying their work in the on-site gallery.

Feels Like Living in a Mansion

The grounds at Creekside Village are nice and provide a nice walking path around the building. There is access to the building at multiple points around, so if walking the full path is too much, the residents can cut through. The meals are fine, sometimes my loved one is frustrated that lunch is always left overs from the prior dinner. It would be nice if breakfast was included. Sometime dinner is not offered if there is a special lunch. That makes it hard when she is left without an option for dinner. The live entertainment is nice. The living room lobby is wonderful for connecting with other residents. The staff is friendly and [name removed], the leasing agent, is so personable and pays attention to how residents are coping long after they sign the lease. It would be nice if there was staff 24 hours. When my loved one locks herself out of her apartment she has to call me to let her in when staff is not there. If she also forgets her phone, she will be out of luck. Overall my loved one is happy there and our family feels welcome.
