Golden acres of elder abuse

Everything on this website is a lie. My father was never offered a cooked meal and there is no onsite stuff to help or give rides like she said. The toilet was broke and never fixed, the power would go out for hours and then come back on and the landlord took the heaters out 3 months ago and never replaced them. She also would only take a $[fee removed] cash from my father and made him share his room with another roommate. This place is the worse place you can put an Elderly person. This lady praise on the elderly so she can take advantage of them. This place needs to be shut down permanently.

Owner is bad and living conditions are worse

Are you okay with paying extra for electricity while others don't pay sure. Want to pay 1000 a month for a room you share with someone else? Just an fyi the place smells like pee. You can expect to have soup every night (including in the summer) which most the time contains bones. How about the large amounts of cats and kittens dying on the property. Emotional mistreatment, financial abuse and so much more. I thought it would be a good place for my mom but sorely I was wrong. Please don't put your parents here. they will kick you out for no reason.

Horrible

I would like to give this zero stars but that is not an option. My family member was living here and became extremely ill - we later learned as a result of multiple strokes. Because this family member left a mess in the bathroom (during the throes of a stroke), the management team kicked him out. In fact, as the ambulance was wheeling him out on a stretcher, management asked me, ”What about his things. Aren’t you taking them?” I was stunned. And management told me, ”He was messy. He cannot stay here.” Other residents ate the food my family brought while he slept and his room had a door jam where a dog had eaten it so that a six inch hole was literally open to the outside elements. Bugs were coming through it while the ambulance was loading him onto the gurney. I could not make this stuff up. Horrible place and zero compassion for residents.

We visited Creekside on Jefferson. It was a very enjoyable visit. The grounds and facility was warm and welcoming. Staff was welcoming, but seemed limited. Probably smaller with more limited resources than we want for Mother. Off our list.
