Haven Care Birch House

Haven Care Birch House Facilities are clean and well maintained. Patient care ratio is 5:1. Keep in mind the one care giver provides all care for the residents as well as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry. We have noted that showers do not follow any schedule and are given on a as needed basis or when time is available. Although an activities schedule is available, we have not witnessed any activity sessions, we do visit at different times and days. Overall we feel are loved one is well cared for and is safe.

Our small residential setting allows caregivers to become familiar with each resident’s individual needs, preferences, and daily routines. Personal care, including bathing, is based on each resident’s care plan, condition, comfort, and needs; however, we understand the importance of consistency and clear communication with families. We also appreciate your comments regarding scheduled activities. Activities should be meaningful, appropriate to each resident’s abilities, and consistently offered. Your feedback gives us an opportunity to review both the activity schedule and how participation is being communicated to families. Most importantly, we are pleased to hear that you feel your loved one is safe and well cared for. Activities at this time I have not see enough to answer. She is able to have visitors with out call a head. Oh yes, we would most definitely recommend Haven Care Birch House community to other families based on the experience so far.

Haven Care Memory Care review

My mother is currently a resident at Haven Care Birch House. The staff is a mix, three of the providers are terrific and one is very non caring. The Activities are the only thing that I would rate lower than a 4. The residents do sit and watch TV a lot.

They were full. I would have liked to get my mom in here, though. The staff was all trained to work with all of the behavioral and physical and challenges of Alzheimer's. Also, there was no price change. It was $5100, but it will never increase no matter how much care you need.
