All staff were considerate, respectful and professional. The food was consistently very good , and the building was always kept very clean . I have recommended Hayes Manor to all my friends.

Hayes Manor is a non-profit personal care home nestled in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We have been providing quality care and essential services to seniors who are 62 years of age or older for more than 128 years. It has been our mission to provide dignified housing, excellent healthcare, and essential services to older people with limited financial resources. We understand how difficult it can be to find quality assisted living at an affordable rate, and as a people-oriented community, we’ve made it our mission to put the needs of residents first and foremost in all that we do.
Our community is conveniently located in the charming city of Philadelphia, which provides residents and their visiting families a never ending supply of activities, such as exploring historic sites like the Liberty Bell and Independence National Historical Park, or discovering artifacts at Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Our elegant Victorian-style home is settled on 10 acres of beautiful land right next to the Bala Golf Club. Things are going great for my sister and for myself as her caregiver. The people are very nice and I would highly recommend this place to other people!!! Out of all the places I went to see for my sister I am very grateful my sister is there!!! People are nice, the care about the resident, the place is clean and beautiful, food is good, the staff is very helpful to my sister and to the caregiver, they get in touch with me right away if there are any issues with my sister, the grounds are beautiful, the food is good, my sister love their book store and church, I love the staff they are very professional and nice!

It's a place for folks on a budget. The Nursing staff is "burned out." At times they are "unkind" with residents as well as family members who speak on behalf of their loved ones. Not much in the way of activities... Though my mother has gone to Bible study. Food is average to below average. Apartment/room size is adequate. For $[removed]/month, I was hoping for better service. But I guess it is what it is.

The staff are patient and personable. Not as much active activity as my grandmother expected from the way management sold us on the facility, but the actual staff is kind, wonderful chef and housekeeping

My loved one has shown great improvement living at Hayes Manor Retirement Residence. The staff and facility are excellent. The move in process was great. We were briefed and got a tour of the facility and the activities. Communication with the family is excellent. My loved one loves this facility and the staff. The food is not as great. As per my loved one, they don't give fresh fruit and the serving sizes are small.

My family and loved one had a great experience with the community. The staff are the kindest you could ever ask for. Everyone is friendly and caring. There are activities and meals to assist with the resident's socialization. Overall, this is a community we would recommend to others for their loved ones.

The community is working out fine for us. The price is great as well. They are fulfilling the purpose we need for our loved one. The staff is friendly. There are three meals a day served to the residents. The community provides the housekeeping, and laundry once a week for the residents.

The community is very nice and clean and the staff members are very friendly. The community offers a fairly decent amount of activities. It gives us a peace of mind knowing our loved one is well taken care of and fed so to us the value for cost is worth it.

We've really enjoyed our time at Hayes so far. It's been really good. The people are very helpful. It's an older place, and there are a few kinks in the walls and everything else. But that's just a product of a building from the 1800s. We definitely appreciate them, and my dad is enjoying it there. And I think we'll be there for quite a while.

I would want others to know that we did not have a good experience here. I feel that we really did not get what we were promised in the beginning. The quality of care was challenging and the food was not very good. Overall, I would not recommend to others looking.

I would tell my friends that since they are a small community it makes them able to care for your loved one more. The nursing staff seems to be attentive and caring. The community is a bit older, and this maybe a draw back for some. This is a renovated mansion. This won't have the newer finishes like the newer communities. The room seems to be very clean.

We chose this community because of the location as well as the price and quality of care. The food here is mostly acceptable. The room sizes vary, some rooms are small and unacceptable and some are very large.

They do a good job with keeping my loved one's room clean and the general surrounds at the community are kept clean; they do a good job. The staff is extremely friendly. They are very patient and polite and always seem eager to help. As his care needs have changed over the months that he's been there, they have been great with accommodating and have taken very good care of him. I have heard my loved one express some concerns over the food, however it has gotten better over time. They have had some special dinners over the holidays and I have thought the food was good. Hays Manor is very affordable compared to some other communities in the area and especially considering the level of care, I think they are very reasonably priced.
