Heart to Heart
I wish that facility had more employees. For a cheaper price than yes I would recommend Heart to Heart Assisted Living to other families based on the experience

I know my family will be taken care of here.
I like most their attention to the residents. They get a lot of interaction. I like least that our resident doesn't seem to be happy and I can't tell if that's just him or not.

They have a nice seating area out front, but my mom could never use it. They did not feed her appropriately for diabetics. When I was on the phone with her I could hear a worker yelling at a resident. When my sister went to visit and play cards with the only place available was her bed. While on the phone with my mom she complained that she needed to use the bathroom but they wouldn't let her so while still on the phone I had her ask to use the restroom. The worker was harsh and impatient and told her she had to wait as the bathrooms were full so I stayed on the line and visited with my mom, after at least 7 minutes my mom had an accident and then the worker told her to quit walking around as she was now making a mess. My mom felt as if she had done something wrong! On visits it was obvious there wasn't enough help or things to do. Also my mom was afraid to ask for anything and even though there were craft supplies she felt afraid to even ask to use them. There's more but I have to get back to work. I do want to say that we have my mother in a different place and she feels comfortable in asking for what she needs, she doesn't have embarrassing accidents, she doesn't get yelled at. And she is allowed/encouraged to use any supplies/books etc that she desires The family feels welcomed at any time 24 hrs. The difference is like night and day

The facility was gross, the care was done by unqualified people and very minimal and basic necessities were ignored(ie,brushing teeth), the food was all processed, gross and low quality and there were ZERO activities! The only thing they did was park them in front of the TV ALL DAY. We were very thankful the Lord took Dad to Heaven to get him out of Heart to Heart Assisted Living! I would NEVER recommend. Thanks for asking. As you can tell, I've needed to get this off my chest for months!

Overall Heart to Heart was such a blessing. My husband had been in a terrible nursing home. I was having many difficulties moving him for various reasons. At my wits end I remembered that there was something called assisted living but wasn't sure if it was for someone as afflicted as my husband. After another exhausting day of dead ends I was researching facilities and A place For Mom popped up. I use to see [name removed] advertise for them on TV. They saw my search and reached out to me. They explained how assisted living works and gave me list of homes to check out. Heart To Heart was first place I interviewed. Was amazed at the cost with it being so much more reasonable than anything I had found. [name removed]was so understanding and I felt she saw my exhaustion and desperation. She assured me they could help and handle my husband's condition. This home was a show place in the neighborhood. It was decorated beautifully and so uplifting and cheerful. The staff [name removed], [name removed]and weekend crew were amazing. Caring understanding and helpful explaining certain things about my husband's condition and behavior. Amazing home cooked meals by [name removed]. My husband was always immaculately groomed everyday. All his needs seemed to always be taken care of. When [name removed](husband) walked in front door he looked so surprised and said This is just Beautiful. Repeated it and smiled. He hadn't smiled in months and he normally wouldn't make a remark like that. I truly believed he was so grateful to be there and that he knew he was in a good place. So grateful the last 3 months of his life was in a pleasant and safe place.

Buyer beware! It was presented as a totally different place when we were deciding. Most of what we were told concerning the activities was not true. No activities ever provided. Just parked in front of the tv all day. Food is really bad and mostly prepackaged. Normal activities of daily living are not done and no one cares

This has been a good experience for us. My loved one has more one-on-one time with the staff. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. There are at least 2 staff members and they only have 9 residents in the community. There are some single and double occupancy rooms. There are seven or eight rooms available for the residents. The food smells good when visiting our loved one. The meals are home cooked, and my loved one enjoys the food. You can tell the owner and staff really care about the residents here.

We chose the home based on advertised information & information provided to us that H2H could meet my father's needs (1:1 feeding; wheelchair help, caring for his catheter, etc.) We were told a CNA & nurse (maximum of 12) were employed by her, and on site daily to provide care to the residents; also told a caregiver came and stayed overnight. Later, we received confirmation that the information provided about staffing was false (no CNA, no nurse, & the "caregiver" at night was the live-in housekeeper & cook who was also my father's SOLE caregiver.) Third day; My father refused to eat a meal, so the (care giver) tried to force him to eat. H2H told us that my 90 yr old bedridden father could no longer stay in her residential care home because he had hit the (care giver) when she was force feeding him. I was told we would be refunded the unused money we paid in advance for his care, and I would receive it by the end of the month. Ms. **** did not refund the money as promised.

Based on our tour, I thought Heart to Heart was nice. But it felt too sterile for me. They were pleasant but too impersonal. And it just didn't compare to another residential care home we looked at.

We had our mother moved here after being in the hospital, and she was only there one day before she passed. We paid the owner 4200.00, with 800.00 of that being a deposit. It took her over a month to refund us any money and at that, it was only 3000.00. I think that was pretty dirty business

I'am pleased with my mothers move to this care home. She is safe, and receiving good care. They have a nice doctor in the home. She seems to have adjusted well with her move to this care home. She is doing better, and I'am satisfied with all they have done for us. This is a care home I would recommend, it is working out well for us.

I have no complaints about the tour I had taken of this community. All of the staff where friendly and made sure to take there time with my loved one and I during our visit. They had a very clean facility and had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. My parents just did not like the environment it was not the right fit for my grandparents.

This is a good company for assistance to find a great caregiver.. The caregiver is doing everything that is needed for assistance. She is reliable and dependable. We would recommend the service and the caregiver to other families.

This care home looked clean when I had my short tour. The residents were sitting in the main room, however they did not seem engaged. I did not think this care home would be a good fit for my mom.
