There's no excuse for not knowing about something around here. The food is fairly good I'm rather picky and I'm pretty happy. They have a nice alternative menu with chicken breast and salmon fillets as well as hamburgers and hot dogs, just about anything that anybody would or could want that's not actually on the regular menu. Sometimes the hallways smell like urine but they use wall plug fresheners to help with that. I would recommend adding a food room delivery option for those who are sick and may not have the energy to go downstairs to get their food. They have to-go orders but you still have to go down to get it. There were no grab bars for the shower and they wouldn't put any in. We had to hire a licensed contractor at our own expense to install safety bars in the shower. I absolutely love that they also wash your bed linens to minimize potential injury as it's hard for an elderly person to bed over like that to make a bed. I have been impressed with all of the staff except [name removed]. She is easily distracted, unorganized and forgetful. She also interrupts you (and herself) mid sentence to answer any incoming text messages instead of staying in the conversation that is right in front of her. That was very hard on her. She wasn't able to really do anything except scoot around her apartment. No one was really there to monitor her much and our decision to put in your Heatherwood. It's been the best thing that ever happened to her she is thriving beautifully. She has so many friends. She is taking such good care of herself. They are absolutely taking every one of her needs and meeting them amazingly. I wish we had done this sometime ago. The activities that Heatherwood has available and the visits that they make so many different businesses in the general area keep the residence hopping, and [name removed] is so busy. She hasn't got the time to talk to me as often as I wish she could, but that makes my heart very happy. Everyone that has a need for a safe, friendly and happy environment.
