One caveat: memory care really is there focus. While living independently in an apartment my mother-in-law had begun to exhibit occasional episodes of very poor judgment that put her at risk. Her memory was still fairly intact despite being 90. Once we moved her to Mercy House we came to the realization that the other residents were much more demented than she was and it distressed her. Mercy House didn't do anything wrong.
