Apartment size is ok. The staff are very kind, caring and accommodating. Nice, clean villas, with very nice patios...screened and secure. The meals are very good, and nutritional. I would highly recommend Palm Cottages for care of your loved ones.

Apartment size is ok. The staff are very kind, caring and accommodating. Nice, clean villas, with very nice patios...screened and secure. The meals are very good, and nutritional. I would highly recommend Palm Cottages for care of your loved ones.

Activities are more limited in memory care and many times most choose not to participate. Staff has been responsive, most are very loving towards the residents, giving hugs and one-on-one conversations. Food is well balanced. The price is very good compared to others. The smaller cottages have been a great fit for my dad. When we first toured PC we thought the cottage environment was too small but socially it has been a better experience vs a 32 bed facility. His room size is very sufficient for his twin bed, dresser/tv stand and full size rocking chair. Some residents have a full bed. They have occasional events that the memory care can join in....music, lunches.

I placed my husband in Memory Care at Palm Cottage's in Washington Cottage. the staff there is awesome. They have empathy, actually care about the residents. They are always taking care of the people that need more assistances, on top of feeding them. They have routine and this has helped my husband adjust. I'm Very happy I chose Palm Cottage's. They're very good about doing his laundry and keeping his room clean. The rooms are good sizes. You get to know the residence and their families just been a great experience. I would recommend them

I was greeted the moment I walked in the door. Residents were gathering for a monthly birthday lunch celebration, and the staff to Resident ratio was almost 1:1. Every where I looked the space was bright and welcoming, residents were engaged and the food being prepared smelled amazing. The rooms are more than adequate for each resident, allowing plenty of space for a bed, dresser, chair. I am very pleased with the facility and the care my father is receiving.

Admin was good. Very professional and efficient and willing to call you back to answer questions. We loved Miss [name removed] she seemed very sweet and helpful when we talked with her, and she was very interactive and kind with the residents. I felt like some other staff needed some additional training about how to welcome a new resident in and at least introduce yourself to the resident and family members. They were very involved in their conversations with each other and did not acknowledge us at all when we entered that cottage.

During the short time my father-in-law was at Palm Cottages we were absolutely impressed. The care, the meals and the facilities in general were fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone. Many of the staff went above and beyond what you would expect.

Palm Cottages is a very nice, and comfort giving community. Whether your loved one needs assisted living or Memory Care. The staff is attentive and caring. Healthy and wholesome prepared meals. Constant care and security are their priority. I would highly recommend to families in need of wonderful care and treatment of their loved ones.

My dad was at a 32 unit facility vs this 12 unit. I find there is much more attention from the staff in this cottage environment. Staff is not burnt out. The cottage style is more homey but not what you would think as an even smaller group house. Room sizes are more than adequate. The common area has a living room, dining area and kitchen as well as a room to the side for puzzles. There is also a wonderful porch looking out to the complex and a garden area between the two memory care cottages. Monthly rates are less expensive than the larger facilities. Similar amenities as a larger facility such as a hair stylist on site, music on site, visiting specialists (podiatry, medical, PT). Lunch out or shopping a few times a month. Dad seems to be settled in this environment.

What we like the most about the community is that the staff are amazingly friendly. Campus layout is exceptional. Food choices and quality are excellent. Your help in finding and understanding the various aspects of the many facilities was a tremendous help.

Unique concept of cottages versus traditional ALF, i.e. long halls, main dining room, etc. Each cottage is like its own home with 10-12 residents per cottage, kitchen, living area in each cottage. Staff was also amazing - a CNA assigned to each cottage

All of the staff are just wonderful. Especially those that work in the memory care units. The chefs are great creating delicious meals and desserts for the residents. I completely trust the care my mom recieves.

The overall experience was comforting and inspiring. The level of care was compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. The one on one care was amazing. The Chef took such pride in preparing meals for each patient's personal requirements. It was noticeable because our mother began eating so much better! When our mother started to experience occasional sundowner symptoms, the staff always kept a smile on their face and a caring heart when dealing with her irritability caused from the symptoms. We wish we would have moved her to Palm Cottages sooner. What was most important to us in finding Palm Cottages is the fact that they had a transitional-type cottage. At the time we move her she was not needing total memory care nor total skilled nursing. Yet, she did need a little more assistance than assisted living could provide. This was absolutely a perfect situation for her and she thrived. Unfortunately her time to go Home came only a few months after we moved her.

I didn't think they did any activities for their memory. Also the majority of patients were unable to communicate which was not good for my husband. The patients just sat all day in community room with tv on. Depending on the condition of the patient. They do nothing to help them it is a place to put them instead of keeping that at home.

Only there a month and decided to move him closer home. In the tour they showed us a a different cottage and the cottage my loved one was in they were renovating the kitchen. They were bringing food from the cottage next door and since kitchen was unusable they used paper plates and plastic silverware. I'm sure once finished it will be beautiful. Had problem with ants in his room. Nice outdoor space and front porch. Home like atmosphere.

The overall experience was positive at the Palm Cottages. My aunt started out in an assisted living cottage, but was moved to a memory care cottage. She received good care while she was there. She passed away in [date removed] . The nurses were very good. I saw them in action responding to falls and other medical emergencies. The cottage was kept clean. I never noticed a urine smell that some facilities have. The executive director changed twice while she was there. When my aunt was first there, they had an activity person working on the weekend. It was nice to know that there was some scheduled activity on the weekend. I'm sure that the funding changed because there was no longer an activity person on the weekend. I liked knowing that my Aunt had the opportunity to participate in something rather than just sitting there. It was difficult to visit and see everyone just sitting watching TV or staring outside or sleeping. Sometimes, the food smelled really good. Sometimes it looked yucky. I know several times the residents commented to me that the hot food was cold. During my Aunt's stay at the Palm Cottages, the cost of her monthly rent increased [fee removed] . That was from [date removed] to [date removed] . She had some really good caregivers that interacted with her and some that were ok. They took care of her needs.

I go to many places to see and help take care of residents and I have to say this is one of the best. The small home like feel, which helps the residents and families bond more with other residents and staff. They have great staff and truly care about the residents. Highly Recommend!

My mother resided here for over a year. She started off in Assisted Living and then had to move to Memory Care up until she passed away. All of the staff were caring and compassionate. The cottages only hold up to 14 people, so I you are able to really get to know the other people in the cottage and become more like a family. They took great care of my mother and I am glad I made the decision to move my mother to Palm Cottages.

We really like the concept of cottage living at Palm Cottages - our loved one does not have to travel far for meals and with the meals being served almost always at the same time this forces our loved one to get out of her room and go socialize with the other residents. Even though our loved one does not always participate in the activities there are plenty of things to do. The maintenance team is always willing to help and all of the staff members are so nice. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families - but the general communication could be improve a little more.

We love the experience our loved one has experienced here. Overall our loved one has settled in nicely. I would encourage others to view the community as a great option for their loved ones. The staff are very caring. The staff communication with the family is very good. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and there are limited choices. The food and service is very good in the dining room.
