Highly recommend

She moved in a year ago. The staff are great. [name removed], the manager is awesome. Easy to talk to and very accommodating. The women that do the cooking are so sweet and the food is wonderful. My mother-in-law put on 15 pounds in a matter of weeks and she needed to gain weight so that was great! Great meals and lots of homemade desserts. Snacks are available during the day. Lots of fun activities for the residents. Special days are planned like Kentucky Derby Day, Assisted Living week, National Popsicle Day, Cinco de Mayo and many more. Each resident gets to pick what kind of dessert they want for their birthday. They can transport the residents to their local doctor's appointments or for other appointments. Her room is spacious with bath and sitting area. Individual heating and air conditioning controls. Overall we think it is an awesome place. Also, housekeeping staff are very good! The place is meticulous and always decorated for each holiday.

A Perfect Fit

She loves the food! They have great meals. They have a lot of activities for them. She doesn't always participate because even though she has hearing aides, she has trouble hearing. It is all women there and she has made some friends. They take her to all of her doctor's appointments that are in Gonzales and also to her hair dresser. They have a nice front porch with chairs where they can sit outside.

I would give them all a 5! The place is awesome! Right now they have 16 women living there. No men but they do allow men. My mother-in-law loves it. They have great meals with deserts for lunch and dinner. They have fun activities and they occasionally go for outings as a group. Very reasonably priced. We highly recommend The Romberg House.

Romberg House would have been our third choice. The reason being was when we toured they had just gotten a new director. Also the location was far from us and she would have had to get used to a whole new area and we were not familiar with it.
