I love it here!
The people here for the most part are all pretty terrific. It is great for the loneliness I was feeling. There were too many memories there. I repeat "I truly love it here". I have a beautiful apartment with a terrace. By the way, it is pet friendly; and my dog is also making some new friends.

To simplify residents’ responsibilities so they can focus on their interests, Solstice Senior Living at Groton offers a variety of services including scheduled transportation, weekly housekeeping, emergency call systems, 24-hour access to urgent care through telehealth services, and personalized in-home assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Freshly prepared menu options are served in a restaurant-style setting and have been approved by a dietitian to ensure nutritional quality. The community’s culinary team creates menus inspired by residents’ favorite homestyle dishes and seasonal ingredients.
With more time to do as they please, residents can choose from an array of regularly scheduled activities from the community’s event calendar or engage with a number of on-site amenities and features. These include a fitness center, beauty salon, library, game room, and a 40-foot waterfall near resident-run gardens.

Nice facility. Very knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions. Took a good amount of time speaking with me. Staff was very friendly.

Good experience so far. Friendly, helpful staff but currently short staffed. There is a variety of activities, the food is overall above average and te three meals a day are quite good. The grounds are looking a lot better with spring on its way and we have a new manager. Some good communication going on and although building and grounds are almost 40 years old I see improvement daily. I chose this residence over 6 others for one reason. The staff and residents made us feel welcome.

Solstice is a wonderful fit. No problems and no worries. I would recommend if you are in a situation as I was in or to get the relief I did that you give a look. Just touring the first time convinced me. Hoping to soon be a resident.....see you there!

Talk to the current residents, they give a lot of feedback when you are looking. I have gotten to know several of the residents there, it's a great place.

Tremendous staff. Faculty is very clean. Plenty of activities for the clients if the so desire. Food appears to be good. Studio, which my sisters had is adequate. We are thinking of trying to get into a 1 bedroom. Also the facility is safe and one of the main reasons the family chose Soltice.

You only pay for extra help when needed. E.g. help with bathing or help with laundry you only pay by the hour for what you need help with. Other facilities charges include any help the client may need whether or not they need them at the time. Apartment sizes are acceptable for your needs. You do get utilities included along with cable. We told my Dad when he moved in that his apartment was for sleeping and quiet time the rest of the facility was his home too.

The kitchen staff sometimes complained that the residents are a little unhappy or rude with how they are not getting the right food but they have a right to complain because we are paying eight or $[removed]a month and we're not getting what we ordered or it's not cooked right or it's not even cooked sometimes all the way through and yet they will stand up there and yell at the residents in a loud voice to treat the servers better when the servers are not giving us the right order and they're dealing with old people and they should have a little more compassion and understanding that they're paying a lot of money for a good meal and they're not getting what they ordered or how they ordered it plus they're not wearing hair nets they're not going by OSHA standards and they have a right to complain and the kitchen staff has not improved and often forget what you've ordered and they say they'll come back and bring it to you and then they never show up with what you've ordered which is very frustrating thank you.

We feel like our loved one is in a good environment! When it comes to the cleanliness, the service is not often provided even though we pay for it! Our loved one had to be transported to the hospital and his alert system he pays for really worked. Our loved one (and others) complain about many of the meals. They recognize birthdays/veterans/Father's Day etc with a gathering and snack. Rent increases and services (cleaning) decreased.

I'm speaking as an outsider. Going on my mother's opinion. We chose Solstice because of the cleanliness, friendliness of everyone, and cooking her meals, etc. But rent is very high for being understaffed I think. My sister and I have been helping to pay her rent for about a year. They usually seem short-staffed which leads to delays at mealtimes, affects housekeeping, etc. We moved mom in in Nov 2022 and are still unable to get any assistance through Patriot Angels. They ASSURED me before she moved that it would be no problem. Yet we didn't. My mom is moving this month to the retirement section of Complete Care in Groton and will get assistance through the state to pick up the excess that she is not able to pay. My mom made wonderful friends there and would love to stay, but can't afford it now.

They offer activites daily, and three meals per day. Overall, they were available to meet with me, and answer any questions that I had. They need to improve on their Wi-Fi services. I would recommend to other famlies, because they offer meals, and have activities. It is as accomodating, and as welcoming as it can be. For the price, it's worth what it costs.

You can have peace of mind knowing that your family member is in a place where they'll be taken care of. They're served food three times a day. There's a washer and dryer right outside their door. So you don't have to worry. The apartment is small but perfect for a single person. And my loved one gets along with everybody.

They were great all the way through. I was really pleased that I was able to find something that worked for my loved one that we were able to afford. The apartment was great. They had it repainted and put in a new floor before she moved in. They're updating things regularly and taking care of the facility well. She wasn't able to experience the social aspects as much since she declined and ended up needing assisted living, but that was not on Solstice at all.

Our loved one was a resident at Solstice and it is a very old building that really needs some upkeep, it almost seemed a little depressing and just disappointing. Once they started loosing their staff everything went downhill - house keeping suffered, as well as the food and transportation.

Solstice Senior Living basically saved our loved ones life. She is very satisfied with the cleanliness of the community and the staff there are very friendly. With the activities she does get involved in she really enjoys them. Overall she does enjoy the food but she says they do serve a lot of cheese and milk products and that is something our loved one needs to stay away from. Based on our overall experience we would recommend this community to other families.

This is a perfect community for your loved one. They have some type of activity for everyone at this community. They have different card games, and different activities based on different cultures and countries. The staff are extremely helpful and is always there answering questions. Anything that we need they are always there for us and our loved one.

My mom is very very happy here at Solstice Senior Living and that is the best that I could ask for. She is participating in the activities provided and has had no complaints at all about the food. So far things are going well and we are super pleased with the experience.
