Tucked away in a Californian countryside, Solstice Senior Living at Lodi boasts quaint, charming senior living with the convenience and luxury of a resort-inspired setting. To simplify residents’ responsibilities so they can focus on their interests, Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley offers a variety of services, including scheduled transportation, weekly housekeeping, emergency call systems, 24-hour access to urgent care through telehealth services, and personalized in-home assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
In a restaurant-style setting, residents can choose from a variety of resident-inspired and dietitian-approved menu options that are freshly prepared by the community’s culinary team. To stave off cravings throughout the day, residents can find grab-and-go fare at the on-site refreshment bar.
With more time to do as they please, residents can choose from an array of regularly scheduled activities from the community’s event calendar or enjoy one of the engaging on-site amenities. These include a beauty salon, library, game room, landscaped gardens, and more.

It was a five it was a really positive experience. [name removed] was excellent to work with sent us mini videos so we could envision different things, answered all our questions. We moved my brother in last week and he is very happy there. One gentleman said it was like being on a cruise ship. And I agree!

Don't send them to Soltice sold company the food is awful and having housemaids doing the food serving this place needs to be looked at for their lack of good food and management is basically non existent. Seniors housing. Investigation needs to see the food and all around quality of living. Do not recommend

It was a very nice place. It is virtually identical to the place. We ended up selecting for my dad. The food was good. It seemed clean with a lot of activities.

I would rate them about a three. Fired the cook first week my mom was there. Parking is limited for visitors the maintenance is slow took about 3 weeks to fix a faucet in bathroom. Apparently they don't do a punch list for repairs to the units after they are vacated. People who live there are pretty much keep to themselves afraid to complain about food or services provided. They have strange hours they don't even open until 10 am every day . Laundry hours are rather reduced to strange days and no one is there on weekends to remove trash from the laundry hours.

[name removed] at Solstice gave me the most welcoming tour. She is a treasure and spent a considerable amount of time showing me the many features of Solstice. The apartments are very clean and there are many attractive features including a beauty salon library and movie area. The residents seemed engaged and well cared for. If I had to pick today that is where I would live. Unfortunately I have some health issues that are currently affecting my ability to move. I liked that the place did seem more comfortable and homey than some other high end places I toured.

We had been looking for independent/assisted living places for my mom before her health emergency. Solstice was a community that shined above the others. Thankfully my mom fully recovered and we were able to take her over to Solstice for lunch and a tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My mom even bumped into some friends that already lived there. We took a tour and were very pleased with the relaxing family atmosphere. The residents took time to stop and say hi and tell us about their experiences at Solstice. It really helped to make my mom feel at home and at ease with the surroundings. The staff was excellent. [name removed] was very understanding about the big changes that would be happening for my mother to move into a new home. She was very patient and took the time to answer all of mom's questions. [name removed] was very generous with her time and went above and beyond to help my mom review the costs at Solstice and how that fit into her budget.

The facility is very clean, they have great activities offered for the residents, and the staff are pleasant. My friend [name removed] said that some staff are pretty quiet and the food services are not good!

I loved Solstice from [dates removed] The food in this community was hardly palatable. I took photos if most meals. I caught COVID-19 the second week there because a resident with COVID was not confined to her room. I was sick for several days before the staff checked in with me. When I first moved in, the commode in the main bedroom was leaking. The commode did not get repaired until the day I moved out. In the meantime, I lived with paper towels sound the leak. My front door needed repair, which I reported. I had to leave my front door unlocked most of the time. During my stay, staff turnover was abundant, not a good sign. I moved out because of the above reasons, plus other incidents I don't want to mention.

Solstice is bright and airy and clean. It does not feel old and run down. The dining room is restaurant style and if you don't like the food of the day you can always choose from the menu available at no extra cost. I like that the electricity is inclusive. The private apartments have white 2" blinds and nice floor plans with a roomy feel

I couldn't be happier about having my loved one here. I feel confident with the staff in taking care of my loved one. The apartment has a full washer and dryer and kitchen in it. Some of the activities available include bus rides, outings, and more for the residents to participate in. All meals are included and then there is a menu for the residents to choose from to eat.

We had a wonderful, short experience at Solstice Senior Living. The director [name removed] was so helpful and [name removed] was amazing as well. All of the staff overall were just great people. I would definitely recommend this facility to others, I would even live here myself.

We chose Solstice because felt we got more for the money and they were reasonably priced. The staff was really great and accommodating and they acted like they really cared. It just felt like a very peaceful sense of community. He is in a studio apartment and it is more than adequate for his needs, he has his own kitchen area as well. I definitely would recommend to others.

I did not feel good about this community, when we got there the person that gave us the tour acted as if she did not know we were coming. There were no brochures or menus ready. They also took us to a single room and we wanted one with a bedroom. We also went to another room and it did not have a kitchen. They also did not have any staff on duty after 6pm. If there was a problem they would have to reach out to an ambulance.

It is a good community. I do like the concept of assisted living for families. I think that the staff are all very helpful and nice. They do provide a community setting for your loved one, with the socializing and activities, and it creates kind of a family atmosphere for the residents. I would recommend this community to other families. The whole experience has been okay, it's just the problem of COVID right now because there's very few activities, no group dining, no mental stimulation , and it's very isolating.

I would look for someplace else. My loved ones complained about the food being horrible and offering no variety . Other residents complained directly to about the food as well. Our parents chose this community. I would not recommend this community to other families.
