I was surprised that no one came to check on me since I didn't leave my room except to go to the store. I know I was in independent living and pushed my button each morning so they knew I was alive. I guess there should be a way to let them know when a person is sick enough to have to stay in their room. Also a better way to get meals to the room. There was a very large stack of meals to be delivered and the food arrived cold! I do want to let you know that I had just lost my husband the end of [date removed] and moved in there in [date removed]. It was too soon to have made such a big change but I moved from Ga to Al to be close to my sisters. So I am not sure any place would have felt right at that time.
