Care, cleanliness, and responsibility

I would not consider this place at all. It’s very expensive, the med techs as they call them act like they hate taking care of the residents. They are smart mouths to them and can’t do anything but stay on their phones. Anytime you walk in and I do everyday sometimes more than once, if you are lucky enough to see one they are on their phones. These residents pay a small fortune to stay there and should be treated with respect. The food is terrible you shouldn’t have to order groceries to eat when you pay to eat there, it’s a shame. A family member shouldn’t have to come at 6pm on a Saturday evening to fix a toilet that has run over in the floor because nobody is available to fix it until Monday ridiculous in my opinion. These people pay [removed] plus to stay there and deserve much better than that! I feel sorry for the ones who don’t have anyone checking on them.

Spring Park

My mother was admitted to memory care at Spring Park recently and we have been thrilled with her care. We are able to visit with no restrictions and her hospice team is also allowed to see her in addition to the awesome staff there. The facility is clean, the meals are wonderful. There is a nice courtyard area with bird feeders and flowers and a pergola with swings and rocking chairs to be shaded. My mom spends a lot of time there. We are so happy with the choice to place her there as she needed extra care that my brother and I were unable to provide.

They treated Dad like family

We loved Spring Park. It is small, cozy, clean, safe, and cheerful. They accommodated our father's needs, affirmed his values, and anticipated his increasing levels of care. The staff treated us like family while remaining professional. They were incredibly patient with us, our many questions, our visits with little ones, our requests to take dad out to church, the store, or to get a treat. They treated Dad with respect, kindness, and affection. When Dad passed away, their tears were a tribute to how sincerely they cared.

Nursing staff is great. Mom is happy. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of a proper orientation for mom and they have been very slow providing the promised Alexa device to help mom remember daily events. I am overall very pleased, just a big lapse on the intake portion is my only concern.

Our families experience

My mother was in memory care only for 12 days before she died. The workers were caring and compassionate. They took great care of her. Everyone is friendly and loving and they keep the residents busy with activities.

Review for Spring Park Assisted Living and Memory Care

I didn't appreciate that after only a month that the Sales guy told me that there was gonna be a price increase in one month. It seems like something he should've mentioned while I was still signing paperwork a month earlier. And he said if I wanted to lock in the price I needed to pay another $[removed]to do so. Just seemed like I was bleeding money to him every time we talked. My mom only lasted 5 months in that place before she passed away.

Review for Spring Park Assisted Living and Memory Care

My loved one had sitters 24/7 because of her fall risk and she had the money. Administration was against having sitters but I refused to place my loved one there without them. If not for the sitters, and what I saw myself, I would not be have seen med-techs placing pill cups on the dinner table between residents and leaving them alone to take. Some staff were wonderful and caring. I was told to mention scabies was found on the resident by family and staff was not notified nor preventative measures taken. It was a common problem. Residents sat in front of television without sound until bedtime. Activities were posted and not done. When an activity director was hired for memory care. She was pulled to Assisted Living with little time left for MC. Food was unappealing and too little. Staff did not watch residents eat nor notice if needed help. Cell Phones dominated their attention. Staff who were good, were very good. Too many were not trained properly nor supervised. The assisted living area seems to get the attention from appearances. I encourage family to insist on observing during supper time, as medications are given, and how residents are treated with respect and appropriate knowledge on how to react to dementia. How residents are left before bed and what activities actually take place should be observed before deciding on a facility or where your loved one will live.

Our Family's Experience

I'd give them 5s on everything. Honestly, they hardly participate in anything, but that's a them problem, not a lack of opportunities. They did enjoy having another couple to have meals with when they were in the main building, but they're in the memory care unit now. It costs the same, but there's little opportunity for enrichment or socialization.

Highly Recommend

The people are kind and caring, the place is clean, the food looks very good. We're very happy with Spring Park. They listen and they care about the residents. That is not always the case! Also, people have worked there for a long time (in many cases) - that tells you they feel appreciated by the management and the families.

Peace of mind

My loved one is currently a resident at Spring Park Assisted Living and Memory Care. Overall, her experience at this facility has been good. I like Spring Park. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating. They know the residents by name. I haven't had any issues with poor communication. The cleanliness and quality of care are good. The value for cost is good. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Would definitely recommend. Care, staff, facility are all excellent.

I had nothing but a good experience with Spring Park - I liked everything there. They took excellent care of my MIL for about a year. She declined too much to stay in assisted living, and we had to move her to a nursing home. It doesn't compare to Spring Park. I wish I could put her back there. The staff is wonderful and caring. The nursing home is not as nice, but they take good care of her. Good communication with everyone at Spring Park. They do care.

I loved Spring Park, for the time that my dad was here. The staff was wonderful, from the beginning and made us feel welcomed and at home. Unfortunately, my dad was too sick to enjoy the activities offered. I do know that all of the residents seemed to enjoy their time there. The facility was clean and I would definitely recommend Spring Park to to others. They were able to get us the help we needed for my dad and helped my dad be as comfortable as possible, his last few days. They were also very helpful and caring to me.

We toured with Spring Park. The staff were very good and the follow up from them to make sure we got everything all figured out was great. The facility is all on one level and has an "X" design. When we were walking around there were some residents sitting in the center area watching TV and no one was talking. It just did not seem like the residents were engaged and they needed more care than my loved one did. The director here was extremely nice.

Great Place to Be

They are great. The floor needs sweeping sometimes. They are all friendly. They have watched her insulin levels very well. I had to tell them to stop giving her juice. Staff is very nice. She eats the food but would rather have a hamburger, although she can't eat that. The food is fine. People sing once per week. They could do more with the residents, as far as activities. Expecatations was that is was FT nurses or doctors once per week. A regular doctor is not available. Overall, they could use more medical staff.
