Note that the facility is one level, flat and easy to navigate for walkers and wheelchairs. When my grandma was released from the geriatric psych ward, we honestly didn’t know where she was going to go. Thankfully, St. Francis had availability. The difference in my grandmother since moving there has been incredible. It took a couple of weeks for her to adjust, but she went from experiencing severe delusional psychosis — believing people were trying to kill her and becoming extremely agitated — to now being calm, social, and happy. She is able to have visitors, go on outings like trips to the park or getting her nails done. The staff have been wonderful compassionate, attentive, and truly knowledgeable about memory care.
