Yes I recommend Summit Place.

I've lived here at Summit Place six months now and I have to say it has been better experience than I imagined. Staff and residents are friendly and helpful. Easy to meet new people. The management has anticipated almost everything. For instance I no longer have to wash windows..they do it inside and out once a year and power wash my balcony. They also have arranged to have Covid and flu shots on site in a few weeks. A shuttle bus has scheduled outings plus several shopping and medical routes weekly. One of my favorite outings is going to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Many onsite activities if you care to participate. I like to swim in the warm water pool and use the exercise equipment in the onsite health club. The location is convenient. Just across the street is a grocery store , a craft store and beauty shop. Yet the way the grounds are landscaped your view is of mature trees and gardens.

We definitely recommend!

The staff is very friendly and listens to their residents. The food is good. There are so many activities to accommodate all kinds of interests. The health club classes and fitness area are great, as well as the pool aerobics if you want to participate. Having a pool is a very positive feature. The rooms are a decent size, and the common areas are very homey and clean at all times. The shuttle service is a good option for local shopping. Medical appointments are limited to Mondays and Tuesdays. I've noticed this may mainly be due to outings frequently held on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The drivers are so kind and assist when needed. There is also other transportation available through Southwest Prime, which we use weekly. I would definitely recommend Summit to anyone looking for senior living. I have heard the assisted living and memory care units are wonderful, although I haven't personally experienced either.

Nice apartments and community areas. There is a therapy pool here, which is nice. The back green area is nice, but small. However, if you move into independent living, you would need to move to another room when you need assisted living.

Meant to be

Definitely 5! I would give them a 10 if I could. Summit Place did everything they could to find my mom a room. While other places took anywhere from a few weeks to several months, Summit Place was able to offer a clean, fresh room within two days. We were actually moving furniture the day after we signed the contract. Mom didn't like being there at first, but she has come to accept her situation and has embraced being there. She loves the variety of entertainment— from playing card games to stage performances, she is always busy. She is so much stronger than when she moved in.

Overall would highly recommend

Staff very friendly and communicated well. We enjoy the food, good variety and chefs do a great job. Our apartment is a one bedroom/den as that is what they had available to accommodate or timing. It is very spacious and quiet. Residents couldn't be nicer and they offer many activities to participate in. The pool is a great asset! One thing I miss is a small coffee bar like my moms in coon rapids had and one of the other units I looked at for us. But they do offer a refreshment stand with flavored water daily. Coffee can be made in our room. It is a very clean complex!

Review for Summit Place Senior Campus

[name removed] was such a great help. I love my townhouse and the location on Flying Cloud. In the summer I can walk across the street to several businesses including a bank, grocery store, Home Goods, Michael's and several restaurants. Costco and the mall are a half mile or less.

We are happy overall with the staff. There are lots of options for activities but dad hasn't taken advantage of many of them. Not happy that after two months I got a letter that rent is going up next month.

overall pleased with summit place offerings

Admin staff is helpful, and easy to work with when solutions need to be found. Maintenance calls are billed, and expensive, and haphazard in quality (like hanging pictures) so find an outside vendor to put up pics or drapery rods. 1st - dinner hours are 4:30 to 5:30, which is too early. Mom doesn't like to go at 5, because she says by then staff is inattentive and trying to wrap things up. Ford itself is a matter of personal preference- but mom doesn't have an adventurous palate -- doesn't like ethnic food ( or spicy food). Some nights are buffet only, all themed food, which is, more times than not, ethnic or spicy, with no alternative offered. Level of activities and variety of activities is great, and good gym facilities. There's a nice pool butb waterv temp could be higher for older people to enjoy.

Another adventure!!

So far on a hole it’s not bad. It’s actually very very nice very comfortable very clean. I can’t say that they were totally truthful with everything. They told us to begin with and then again it was such a whirlwind experience. I’m not gonna totally blame them. it’s still a little early to tell, but so far I think I like it.

Staff is great! Corporate very unprofessional

Summit Place has a unique set up for townhomes. For that reason, I decided to move here. The staff at Summit is very welcoming and professional. That is in direct contrast to the unprofessional and uncaring nature of the Silvercrest Corporate Office. The corporate office seems to make policies that will increase rent revenue with little or no regard to the inconsistency or if it makes sense. They do not understand that residents that should be the primary focus of their policies, not the bottom line. Perhaps a course in hospitality management is in order. I had two experiences where I tried to communicate with them and they refused to be bothered or communicate with me. Silvercrest is struggling to keep up and will continue to fall short. As a side note, there is now pretty new signage at Summit Place. I am unclear how that impacts the resident experience.

Summit Place Experience

The main reason I chose Summit Place Senior Campus was because of the pool that they have. As far as the food goes, the meat that they serve is dry, the rice has nothing on it, and a lot of times the food is cold when it is served.

Review for Summit Place Senior Campus

I would recommend it.I originally chose it because it was in my area and one of the few assisted living places that would take someone who needed a mechanical lift to transfer. My husband did at that time. By the time we moved in my husband was dying and not getting out of bed. We had assisted living caregivers for about two months before he passed away. I now live on the independent living side of the complex.

Nightmare

Beware. In less than 60 days I have had two unauthorized entries into my apartment (independent side) and 35 of us have money attempted to be stolen out of our bank accounts. This is not an allegation. Contact the Eden Prairie police department to get a printout of the of how many people have been impacted, and what has been transpiring here.
