Only 1 was totally unacceptable.\nEach of the others had their strengths. We decided on Sunrise of Northville, which is actually in Plymouth. Its strengths,\n1) location is convenient (which is a very important consideration if you plan on interacting with the resident often. )\n2) friendliness, sounds trivial, but again, daily interactions with the staff need to be considered, and EVERYONE if extremely friendly and hospitable.\n3) cleanliness & decor (fresh flowers weekly are nice) & security (one of the top places for these items)\n4) food quality and menu. Most people don't want to eat the same food every day, we don't all want to eat at the same time. The menu is pretty good, and there is a nice flexibility in dining time. A minor dislike is the high price for visitors to pay for joining a resident for a meal.\n5) room dimensions and layout are good, freshly painted, room furnishings are just minimalistic\n6) there are no gym facilities which is a negative. They do have very basic exercise sessions daily, but these are geared to very physically limited people, which seem to make up the bulk of the population. They do have a P/T person at additional cost. As we sat vigil, the staff brought us trays of food and drinks so we didn't have to break our time there. After she passed, they greeted us and passed on their condolences. They have been very helpful in settling our affairs with them.
