Great memory care facility
My wife is a resident in the memory care facility at the Oaks. The facility and my wife’s room is always clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and caring. They all greet my wife by name provide great care for her. I am confident she is well cared for. I am glad that I chose the Oaks to care for my wife.

My mother moved in about 2 months ago. She has settled in to her new lifestyle. It was a hard transition for her to leave her home. But she made so many friends already and enjoys the daily activities. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. When I visit her, staff and residence are always smiling. I even stayed and played some games one afternoon. It really is very nice to know that my mom is happy in her new community.

She was in Memory Care for 7 weeks and had significant improvement in her anxiety and depression which had been increasing over the last 2 years when she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She even seemed to be getting some of her memory back. The only suggestion I have would be to improve their communication on what is required to make sure medical care is administered by them vs patients current pcp

Everyone was so nice and sincere. We never got the “car salesman” pushy feeling. The place was very clean and had all of the amenities that my brother was looking for. We had lunch in their dining room and it was excellent! First real meal I had in over a week. After talking it over at lunch, my brother said that he made his decision. The Oaks is where he’ll live!

The staff at The Oaks have been very responsive and answered all questions in a timely fashion before and during the move in process. I like that the staff greet my father in law by name each time they see him. He seems happy and he is enjoying the meals. I think additional encouragement to engage in exercise and activities would be helpful, but that's the only 'negative' I can think of.

The facility was beautiful and[Name removed], our tour guide was knowledgeable and forthcoming with details. The level of care looks exceptional with on line reviews and a look at your financials is promising. Residents seemed happy and willing to chat with us. Common spaces (dining room, gym etc.) spacious and clean. Food seems easy to access and looks good. For the Oaks, I am very happy with everyone there. They have a fantastic staff and they kept me calm and focused throughout the process because we had to move fast. I love their 2 bedroom apartment. It's very small for them, but they are adjusting. They have only been there a few weeks, so they are still adjusting.

1. All 5 to every dept. I am very impressed with their willingness to respond to any questions you might have or solutions to problems. People skills are A++++. And it starts from the top person and is seen through the techs and everyone who works in Memory Care. I have yet to meet someone who does not have a smile and positive helpful attitude. Kudos to everyone.

We are very impressed with the size of her room and mom is very comfortable there. The activity director left a couple weeks ago and they promoted someone to fill that position, but the activities are mostly watching movies. Mom was used to doing more games ( mental and physical) and crafts at [community removed] which she is missing a lot.

Well maintained. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is good and rooms are comfortable, several activities through the day to keep residents engaged. All services included laundry, maintenance, cleaning. Love that there is a mobile primary care service

I truly liked the facility until the end. The staff were friendly. The food was excellent. I just didn't like the pushy attitude when we had to make a change. . Unfortunately assisted living isn't the same as hospice care. It felt like they were more concerned about losing a resident than the continuing care that resident was going to need. And then we had to pay for a whole month's rent when she wasn't there a single day. I guess perhaps my 5 star rating is a little generous.

[name removed] at the front desk is always greeting people with a smile and is willing to help with anything. [name removed] at the front desk is great as well. What stood out the most - Competency of the staff. Willingness of the staff to deal with challenging circumstances that were outside of the guidelines of their day-to-day jobs. Competency and humanity specifically of their nursing care. Perhaps most importantly, the communication transparency. My mother had a very challenging circumstance and her health deteriorated very rapidly. Hospice came in towards the end and was a godsend, but the staff at The Oaks did the absolute best that they could and we're always very upfront about what they could and couldn't do.

My mother chose not to participate in any activities in her short time there. [name removed] that does the tour and handles everything was beyond amazing with absolutely everything concerning my mother and her care. Dining room staff always considerate and caring. Chef was excellent. We enjoyed many meals with her there. The front desk man ( I cannot recall his name sadly) was always happy to listen to my mothers stories even if he had already heard them before. I only wish that she was still alive and able to continue her time with us at the Oaks. The facilities staff spent hours with her and hung all of her beloved metal art pieces exactly where she picked for them to be hung.
