Review for Pepperwood Senior Living and Memory Care at South Jordan

The rooms are the largest I saw for memory care. Cleanliness of halls and bathrooms great but not as good for the residents room itself.... especially vacuuming. Aide team in place now is very good. Manager is a very good listener to concerns and quickly handles them. New [Name Removed] nurse is MUCH better and more experienced!

Not a place for your loved one

My loved one was in this facility and it was not a nice place for him. I transferred him quickly. He fell out of bed and a report was never made. He hurt his elbow and knee. The Director of Nursing said he "slid" out of bed, he didn't fall so a report did not have to be made. Additionally, one day I came to visit and the breakfast tray was sitting on his chest with all the food wrapped up in saran wrap. He could not get the saran wrap off and he could not move becase the tray was precariously sitting on his chest.... Please be careful in chosing this care facility because the peope don't know what they are doing.

Great staff, great place

The staff was helpful and knowledgeable and told us things on the first day (about hospice and dealing with aggression) that a prior facility failed to bring up at all over several months. The facility has plenty of staff around so that even when some are helping individual residents there are people around to supervise everyone else.

Overall a nice place

The facility overall is good. Some miscommunication issues regarding resident care and incidents that occurred. Like most businesses there are some employees who do their jobs great and others that do not. We were fortunate to have a majority of good staff assisting my father and we also had the added benefit of Hospice so some of their care covered Peaks shortcomings. Hard to provide improvements for those. The food was not terrible - but somethings were better than others. Maybe a better variety As for activities - that is challenging as well since the residents are all at different stages/capabilities - so maybe suggest different groups for different activities based on their abilities. I was originally excited about their Tover option thinking that would have been beneficial, but they didn't seem to use it often at all.

Review for The Peaks at South Jordan

I would tell a friend, that it is a very good over all experience very easy admitting process, lots of great activities all day every day. But I would probably advise if it is short term for family to do the laundry. I knew it was a possibility but mom's clothes were lost on her first visit, most of them were found and returned. Her 2nd stay family did her laundry. I don't believe that would be an issue during a long term stay.

Peaks at South Jordan

We had a bad bad experience my hubby passed away in a week they said he was asleep instead of passing.. I followed there rules to stay away for a week and came back to my hubby passing away... no one let me know... took me 2 months to get my money back.. they shaved his beard even though I had given them specific instructions not to do that.. CNA do not speak English. I would not recommend this facility to anyone... looks good on tour but reality set in

Pretty great place

My loved one is currently a resident at The Peaks at South Jordan. Most everything has been good so far. The move-in process was rough. I had to go find someone and ask every step of the way to find out where to go and what to do. They seemed to have no process in place. The RNs could do better with details on medication orders. I like the activities, they are great. The housekeeping is quite good. Overall, Yes I would recommend this facility to others. They have eyes on the residents almost all the time. My loved one is safe there.

The care was good and the staff was very friendly. Very good security. My wife was there during Covid so things were more strict. Since my wife passed a year ago there has been a change in ownership and most staff so I can't vouch for how everything is now. The cost and value at the time my wife was there was better than most facilities I visited. Based off of our experience, I would recommend The Peaks at South Jordan.

The Peaks Alzheimer’s Care Facility

My Mom had Alzheimer’s and was at The Peaks care center for 14 months. The administration staff at this facility really do care about their jobs and are truly committed to making the care given at this facility the best. The nurses, med techs, activities coordinators, housekeepers, cafeteria staff, bedside caregivers were always pleasant and amenable. If we had a request of any kind they were prompt to reply. This facility met above average cleanliness standards as well. We were very pleased with the care provided to our mom and family.

We are super pleased with Pheasant Run, they are a full Alzheimer's care facility. They also have a circular architectural style which is great for those ambulating with Alzheimer's. They coordinate very well with the wonderful LDS volunteers who serve specifically this facility.

Thoughtful, caring and competent

My mother lived at Pheasant Run for nine months from [dates removed]. The staff was very caring, accommodating and professional. While they struggled like all business did during this time period with staffing shortages, they never let it affect how they cared for patients. We were very happy we chose this location and I would higly recommend it.
