They also have a free shuttle to take her to the grocery store or her doctor appointments during the week. The maintenance has been great. I have a one bedroom apartment with a den, a nice kitchen and laundry room plus storage room, area, and a small screened in patio. It is a perfect size for me. I think the prices, from everything I looked at, which were several places, is a great price, and the amenities are very nice. They have a beautiful pool and patio area, including a covered patio area with a huge bar where they have happy hour every week, they have a beautiful library with a fireplace, a puzzle room, a pool room with other games included, and card rooms, a gym that is nicely equipped, and a lovely dining room area. This is an over 55 community, and while some use walkers, or wheelchairs, all are able to independently live, even if they have someone come in and clean or help in other ways. They have\ntwo grocery store and drugstore runs a week, plus you can sign up for transportation to take you to the doctor or other appointments. They have garages available if you want them, plenty of parking, and most everyone here has a car. They have free continental breakfast in the morning, which is similar to what you would have in a hotel, coffee, juice, cereal, danish, or whatever. On Sundays, they have a free buffet breakfast at nine and another one at 11:30. You can attend and sit in the dining room with friends and socialize, or when you sign up, ask for it to be a to go box if you just want to eat in your own apartment. Everyone is very active and you have several choices of things that you may like to do. My neighbor has lived here for 12 years, and several people have been here for several years, so that is an indication that the facility is good. I looked at several places and this\nwas a great affordable place with everything I needed and wanted. There is a another complex down the street that is an assisted living, and from what I understand several people have gone from this complex to that one when they needed that kind of assistance.
