I was treated at the hospital and then discharged into Rehab to strengthen my breathing ability (short-term rehab). I had previously broken my hip a year before in a fall and had to endure rehab before. I was not exactly excited at the prospect, as my previous experience was not that great. Surprisingly, Wellbrooke of Westfield was a breath of fresh air! It's a small-ish facility, which makes it feel more like a familial environment. All the nurses and techs were extremely responsive and helpful. The Administration staff was helpful with any questions/problems I might have run into. Physical/Occupational therapy staff, environment, and equipment were top-notch! There was always a plan - and I knew what it was, for the most part. If my therapist was busy finishing up with someone else, I was able to start on my weight/warm-up exercises by myself while I waited because I knew what the plan was.
