Brookdale

I toured brookdale on a Saturday and became a resident Immediately I really enjoyed my time here so far.

We are happy with the facility. Staff has been so welcoming and attentive.. activities Director is great! One bedroom apartment is perfect fit! I would recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

Every one we have dealt with so far has been very friendly and helpful. The food is great. Their common areas inviting and comfortable. The apartment itself is spacious and well laid out.

The best thing about this place is the location, right across the road from Bear Creek Park, but I was surprised to learn that they have "cottages" that one can rent as well as apartments. That would be much more appealing to me since I have a PHEV car that needs access to an electric outlet (just regular, not high voltage) and this way I would have a garage for my car. If I were ready to move this would be the place I chose, but I'm at least six months out from being able to do that, and I have several other options to look at, but right now I'd rank this one as the one others will have to beat. I did talk to a friend of a friend who is a resident, and there are some red flags in that management has had multiple changes over the past several years, and prompt attention to maintenance has suffered as a result.

[name removed] was a great guide with all the information we needed to make a decision for our dad’s care. She was very supportive in trying to show us empty rooms as well as rooms people live in.

[name removed] is an angle. She and the rest of the staff at Brookdale Sleepy hollow work hard to make [name removed] comfortable. They have gone above and beyond to make the whole process easy and painless. As I live in Missouri, I have only done a virtual tour. Her friends that live in Texas tell me it is quite nice. Brookdale is not cheap but, it checks all the boxes regarding [name removed] needs.

We love our apartment. We have two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a door to the outside so we can come and go. The food is excellent. We have four choices for entrées at lunch and dinner and four or five sides. There is a positive mood here among both the residence and the staff. There are lots of activities with a friends and family night once a month. I can't think of anything they could do better.

I am Gaines Ranch best promoter. The management staff is excellent, the activities staff is GREAT, there is always something going on. The food is very good and the food services staff is great! The AL staff is caring and dedicated! We have been there 14 months and couldn't be more pleased!

Rate all areas a 5!! First time we entered Brookdale, we immediately said to each other...this is it. This is her style. Very clean and well-kept. No hint of "nursing home" aroma was noted. [name removed] was a fabulous representative for your facility. He helped us understand how everything is going to be done in order keep our sister better health wise and safe. The staff are topnotch and never hesitate to assist in anyway they can. The love and caring is seen in what they say and how well they lend a hand whenever their help is needed. The hospice assistance has also been such a blessing for our family. What else can we say except they are all around facility and staff!! WHEN WE WALKED IN, WE KNEW THIS WAS OUR PLACE!! Our family recommendation for the best! Yes, we mean Brookdale!!

I honestly cannot say enough good about this organization. We were desperate to find a place for my brother. He was in a horrific rehab/nursing home and developed an adversarial (Catch 22) relationship with the administration there. A Place For Mom came across my phone one Sunday morning. I called and explained our situation to a kind woman named [name removed]. Witin 48 hour we interviewed with the director and my brother cam in to see if he qualified. He was living there a week later. It's a big adjustment but he has nothing but praise for the FOOD, the staff, the activities and the facility. It truly feels like one of life's miracles. Thank you.

This was for a 6 week stay in respite care for someone recovering from a fall. The room was pleasant, if on the small side, with a view of the court yard. Staff was pleasant, the room was clean and the food was good. The only activity used was PT. Pretty good for what was required.

Still going very well. Fantastic friendly staff, many activities everyday, socials with families and friends, wide choice of meals with sit down restaurant style like service. Menus with starters, main dish, sides and dessert to choose from. Table with linen napkins. 12 hour front door staff, private apartments, some with balconies. Driver for medical appointments and weekly day outings. Drivers to local church services.

Brookdale is very clean all staff are awesome food is very good nice selections all kinds of activities residents are friendly the staff they all are very helpful

The staff has been amazing. It is clean and safe. We have a studio for my mom which is plenty big enough for her. The food looks to be very good however I have never personally eaten it.

It's been terrific we love all the workers little turnover and our mom is very comfortable. Recommend to anyone who is facing this challenge...they have activities (hoe down a few months ago) which was so fun.

[name removed] the nurse we primarily dealt with on the dementia area was kind and patient with our family member, and with us. [name removed] helped us get him into Brookdale. My mother wanted him in Brookdale and out of the other one he was in. The old people where she lives spoke very well about Brookdale. Older people still go by word of mouth, and not facebook. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one. They are small which i think may make a difference. When I walked down the hallway, all the workers I saw said hello to the people living there by name. It was also very clean.

Everything about Brookdale Scott's Valley has been great starting with your recommendation. We had my brother signed up and moved in within a week, it is a gorgeous facility, super friendly residents, lots of activities, great staff, and my brother already feels comfortable living there. Thank you so much for your help!

Staff was very nice and helpful. The entire facility is very clean. The room was very accommodating and a good size for 1 person. The food was good, the couple of times I ate with my husband. He only attended 1 activity, the one I was able to attend with him, and it was fun and very enjoyable. I used it for Respite Care for my husband and they usually don't accept temporary care, but they opened their hearts for me because they knew how urgent it was for me to find a place for him. This was the first facility I visited and I fell in love with it from day one. And, everybody, from the Director on down were wonderful. I would definitely recommend it to others.
