Constant Care Management

We love the staff. They are taking really good care of our uncle. He is very demanding and they are very kind and patient with him. The facility is always clean and he is well taken care of. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

Truly Dedicated Team of staff, healthcare providers, administrators, marketing, activity directors, cooks, housekeeping, maintenance people are 100% engaged with each other, the residents and their families. I couldn't be more impressed. (2 weeks after mom was admitted, I texted the Head Nurse [name removed]about Mom's medicine; she answered correctly from her own dental appointment without even checking her records, she knew her case so thoroughly! and there are 36 residents there.) It's a great set up - 18 on each side of the building with a huge soaring ceiling in the front entrance living room, with small coffee room and chapel on either side. floor to ceiling windows everywhere, in all hallways (seating nooks everywhere) , both sides have huge living room area with fireplace, couches, aquarium, comfy seating, big screen tv, beautiful dining room where they can watch the cooks. They have music playing most of the time, and because the front door is locked/monitored, residents can walk around the entire building 24/7, nap in the living room and wander through the gorgeous landscaped courtyard that is between both residency sides. Big ceiling fans, tables with umbrellas, comfy outdoor seating in 4 spots, huge grills, flower and vegetable beds, watering system, big screen tv, bird feeders. food is great! they are flexible, if someone is sleeping in or not feeling well, they get meals out for them at the kitchen bar when they come out. Rooms are awesome, small kitchenette with frig/sink, double windows, nice closet space, big walk in shower and sink vanity. worth the price. Before mom moved in, [name removed] told me if mom or dad was military, we could apply at the VA for $[removed]a month benefits to help with expense - we've done that as of [date removed], and will get retroactive funds when it's approved. always clean - smells great and [name removed] the wonderful maintenance man is constantly caring for the inside, outside and courtyard. very fast replies, responsive to family concerns and requests - i've never heard "no", only "we will do this...". pretty incredible. I hope they replicate this system EVERYWHERE for Memory Care. had a super awful experience at [community removed]. Their assisted living looks awesome, but the Memory Care system and administration was ridiculously bad.

[name removed] is phenomenal! She talked to us, listened to our needs and created a plan to bring our Uncle to Texas. We love the facility and the independence and privacy afforded to the residents. We are very excited to have him move in.

Very friendly and clean facility. They were extremely knowledgeable in the care of the patients. Definitely keeping it on my list.

Quiet, calm, loving atmosphere. I can see Mom doing very well here. Loved that it is a smaller facility, with greater chance for close interaction with family/patient and staff. Loved that Memory Care and Assisted Living activities are integrated. Very very positive first impression.

Grand Brook isn't perfect, but I still believe was the best choice for my wife. Staff is competent and provides adequate care. Food is well balanced and mostly well received by residents. Occasionally, a snack is given too close to meal time and affects mealtime consumption, but that is no fault of the meal plan. Activities are voluminous and interactive with the residents. We have no complaints about room cleanliness. We worked with Grand Brook, RE: bathroom cleanliness after toileting (emptying of trash, replacing trash bag, making sure wipes are available, and making sure at least one extra garbage bag is available), and it has gotten significantly better. The single largest issue we had on our six month review was bathroom condition after toileting. Grand Brook leadership addressed it with their staff and most recent days there are no issues identified. Grand Brook has three different sizes of private rooms and also have a companion room option where the bathroom is shared with one other resident while having Jack and Jill sinks. Since they are so good, there often is a waitlist to get in.

It can take a while to be let in and out the front door since it must be maintained as locked at all times. Staffing seems a little lean on nights and weekends. Overall, though, it's quite lovely and my mom seems to love it

This Memory Care is dedicated only to Dementia Care and the care is with dignity and caring. Activities are well planned and as inclusive as possible for various level of need. If you think Music is Therapy, then this is the best place you can find. All the staff seem to be collaborative and help each other, which translates into better care and a happier environment for staff, families, and residents. I’m glad we finally found this “home” filled with Love and caring.

Super friendly staff! They're always very communicative without being overwhelming, and anytime there has been an issue with my dad (injury, fall, stress, etc) they let me know immediately.

It was very helpful to get written information on multiple memory care facilities and eliminate a few without having to go to each one. Most definitely recommend.

Communication is excellent. On group thread with ED, assistant ED, and Director of Nursing. So we are all on the same page at all times. All are very compassionate and respectful.

I like the security measures to make sure the residents can't leave or get in other residents rooms. I would definitely recommend to others!

Residents were not in their rooms but out with others engaged in activities. Appreciated the whole person approach: physical, mental and spiritual components that affected their emotional well being. Staff seemed very engaged with residents. Also appreciated their organization and safety protocols that have been put in place. Their staff truly seemed to care about their residents.

Smooth transition & securely locked memory care facility. Accommodating staff. I would recommend it. Anyone who has a loved one with dementia needs a securely locked facility. Assisted living facilities with a memory care unit aren't securely locked.

When I had to make the difficult decision to place my mother in a Memory Care Facility, I toured several communities. The moment I walked into Grand Brook, I knew I had found her new home. The ENTIRE STAFF (everyone’s name deserves to be listed but I don’t want to accidentally leave anyone out) is truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. From day one, I didn’t just put my Mother in a memory care facility; we become part of a family. My mother receives wonderful care, enjoys delicious meals (thank you Felicia) engaging and fun activities (you are a rock star Ruby) and she has made a few new friends (sweet Sandra).As family members, we also form our own circle of support, leaning on one another and looking out for each other’s loved ones. I am incredibly grateful for the love and dedication shown here, and I highly recommend Grand Brook to anyone searching for the very best memory care.
