I wasn't in Florida when my sister was in elevated Estates. My only complaint would be that when I would call there wasn't a way to connect to where she was to talk to someone that was caring for her so it...
The Edwinola was originally built in 1912 as a hotel. The name “Edwinola” is a combination of the original owners names, Edwin and Lola Gasque. Since it’s construction, it has been a favorite destination of travelers coming to the Dade City, FL area. The Edwinola would eventually go on to serve...

A Place For Mom was instrumental in helping us find a home. [name removed] was lovely and very informative and caring. I have already recommended your services to my friends.

All of the staff that we met were kind, helpful and accommodating. There are lots of fun activities monthly and they have a Facebook page so you can see your loved one participating in the activities.

Edwinola is very old and our mom was on the Alzheimer's floor which could get pretty crazy. She did have her own room which I think is important for late stage Alzheimer's patients. All in all it was ok.

The director of nursing is a dream. The head administrator has no clue of what limitations they have regarding care and patients. Their initial evaluation needs to be updated with focus on care and not filling a bed. Again they need to understand the limitations of assisted living versus memory care.

My loved one is a resident at Elevated Estates of New Port Richey and overall things have been very good. One recommendation is to better handle clothing as many things have disappeared. I even asked another resident about it and she concurred.

We can answer your questions but we are not pleased with the responsiveness (or lack thereof) after the move in. My MIL has moved to long term care and we did not get any response from Edwinola after giving notice. We also tried connecting with A Place for Mom again and received no return calls after leaving 2 messages for 2 different people. The staff were friendly when we were there as potential buyers - afterwards it was difficult to contact anyone

Area of improvement - tendency to be manipulative for business purposes. For me I owned my own business. But a little more open with information would be helpful. They want everything their way.

I like the events offered for my mom. She just transferred to this location, so unable to give a full review; but I'm liking the environment so far.

Overall, the staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice. However, there are no places for the residents to walk outdoors. They have only the indoor hallways available for walking. They've undergone new management, and they no longer have a nurse on staff. They also do not have an activities director; therefore there are no activities. The price is high for what they're offering right now.

The food was not very good but the facility was good for us for what we needed. There was not a lot for her to do nearby and the activities didn't really fit her age group. Her favorite thing about the community was the balcony and the hairdresser. The staff was very professional.

Older facility, dark and unattractive, and smelled extremely bad. Did accept Medicaid, however, and seemed adequately staffed.

This community does not have enough staff to keep a good eye on my husband. I told the staff but they were unable to fully watch him.He fell a few times here. The staff are nice people.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. This seemed like a nice enough place in terms of the care provided and the friendliness of the staff, but I just didn't think it looked as nice as some other options that I had seen in the area.

My in-laws moved to Villas from Atria so my father-in-law could receive memory care. Mom is independent but was in the same room with dad. She were not happy with the situation since there weren't any other residents for mom to associate with. They especially did not like the food. They moved out in about 6 weeks back to an Atria.

We toured this facility after we toured Spring Oaks. This one has 1/3 more residents. It seemed a little older and less bright than the other one we visited. A private room was not an option here. The assisted living residents only outside option was out the front door. The enclosed outside area could only be accessed from the memory care community. However, we do know one of the residents here and she is quite happy and wanted us to move our mother in there also but we chose not to.

The facility is a good place for independent seniors who need little supervision. My parents' medicine was always given on time as directed but as their needs became more the lack of adequate staff was a real concern. Wellness checks, showers, changings, etc were irregular and not frequent enough. The facility is clean and the staff and residents are generally pleasant. The rooms are a good size, especially for the price.

It was great when he first got there. But went down hill. Ac broke down all the time. The elevators were out half the time. They got little food. I had to buy a refrigerator and buy my dad food. I found out they had recovering methhead working there. The only good nurse that could deal with people they fired. Would I send him back no. Director was misleading.

My brother in law was there for a short period of time and then he was sent to Emergency room in Dade city with a swallowing issue and then sent to The Groves, nursing home in Lake Wales. After we heard that would be permanent, we went to get my brother in laws belongings, they were nowhere to be found. Someone was going to look for them and contact us, but never did

The biggest complaint my parents had was the food. I ate there a couple times and it was no good at all. The elevators were broken a lot. There were water leaks often. Bugs in the rooms. Strong sewer smells downstairs. The bus doesn't have handicap access. Just an overall bad experience.

My mother in law did not stay very long at Elevated Estates Edwinola community as she was back in rehab after just a couple of weeks. She had a fall and we were never able to ascertain why she was not able toget help during the night.
