In charts: to call me at any hour. * I can call & get updates without a problem * accommodate her very strict diet & she gets really great food * If she presses her help button someone is there. * really caring and nice staff * great check-ins during the day. * except her 3:00AM meds, they are on time with her very complex med. schedule. * very clean & a pretty facility plus updates * nice activities & scheduled special events I am very pleased she is there & know she has a great quality of life plus very safe.

I am a healthcare professional working in senior living in the Eugene Springfield area, and Evergreen is my top choice of memory care facilities for my residents needing this level of care. The facility is clean and well-maintained, the residents seem happy, the activities are engaging, and the care staff seem to truly care about their residents. If I personally had a loved one needing memory care, this is the facility I would choose.

As an outside contractor I have worked in many different assisted living communities in the local Springfield/Eugene area, and Woodside has been the most impressive I’ve been in by far. The building looks clean and maintained well, it always smells good, the residents seem happy and comfortable, the staff are friendly and look like they really enjoy what they do. Also the food actually looks good! If I had a family member looking to move into an assisted living facility, Woodside would be my top choice.

They have a very nice dining area where u can make friends lots of activities a small gym, exercise classes, a chapel, card games, bingo, movies and each room has a beautiful balcony! I have met the absolute nicest compassionate and caring people here at calaroga terrace. Especially [name removed] Who more than helped me for over a year! This is the number one reason I live here! She gave me her time,her personal phone no. Her patience her kindness. And just when I thought I was all set to move in,I fell and she stayed with. She talked to my sister in law and between the 2 of them and months later as I was healing they found the most perfect studio apt for me at a price I could afford with all the amenities!

Overall it's great. The activities are good variety and plentiful. The food is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The wait times for food and personal assistance sometimes can be longer, due to understaffing.

Wonderful facility. Excellent staff couldn't ask for anything better. Anybody looking for a new home this one's it. Outstanding staff excellent facility, kind, and friendly residents !

5 for all. I visited several facilities for my husband and Van Mall was by far the best! The Community Director herself, so friendly, helpful, the tour and description of services, all the resiand the layout of the facility is very open, lots of windows, all the residents are friendly, just the total package. Highly recommend Van Mall.

The staff have been kind and helpful before, during and after the mood. Communication has been outstanding. Residents are welcoming. My aunt reports that the food is wonderful. Timber Pointe has been the perfect fit for her

What stands out is the great view from my room. I would recommend Calaroga Terrace to others.

The staff and the facility are great. Your information and contacts was very outdated. I used your scheduler to book a time and got a confirmation from you but the contact was no longer there and there was no communication between you and Van Mall and so I showed up and they were very accommodating. I was bombarded with phone calls and emails and texts from A Place for Mom and the facilities that were recommended and found that very challenging.

My now 88 year-old mom with mild late onset Alzheimer's dementia moved to Evergreen Assisted Living in [date removed]. I toured many different assisted living facilities and this was my first choice. My positive experience started with a comprehensive tour by the administrator. All staff I met were friendly, and that continues to this day. My mom receives excellent care. Communication is important to me and there is always someone willing to talk with me and I am confident that they are committed to helping my mom live her best life. The food is wonderful and she participates in activities. There is always something to do. At first my mom thought her life was over. Now she realizes it was just a new chapter and she was too isolated and went there to live her best life! I highly recommend Evergreen Assisted Living!

Staff has English problems. They answer yes to all requests even if you have special instructions for task written they say yes when you ask did you understand? Yes, but do task wrong. My husband needs pee pad on his bed, he wants on mattress under fitted bottom sheet, they make bed very good, but either skip pee pad, or put it on top of top blanket. Often they skip top sheet and just put on bottom sheet no 2nd sheet, I have to check bed every day before his nap. This is irritating & and a issue when I cannot check bed for bed pad when I am away from the building in dining when we order special we both say wonder what we will get. Order is often short something that was ordered, dining room a very nice atmosphere, attention to detail. Acoustics are terrible, do noise level is very high.

This facility was the best by far of all that I toured. The activities are designed for mind stimulation the exercises build the body in a fun way....the caregivers are very attentive and kind. The personnel are very helpful for the needs and how to attain them. Also very patient with the many questions. The rooms are large in comparison to other facilities and overall the atmosphere there is awesome. The food is yummy.

The staff was very professional very helpful and knew their job well. I would absolutely recommend Powell Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care to anyone looking.

Overall experience 5: It was stressful when we had to move our father to the Portland metro area. We immediately felt like The Cottages was going to be a good fit.. Cleanliness 5: Every area that we've been in has been clean and well maintained. Our dad had incontinence when he was still mobil, which meant the carpet was hard to keep clean in his room; it was replaced with linoleum so it could be kept clean. The main sitting room and dining room have just gotten new furniture, but the old furniture was nice and didn't look shabby. Friendliness of staff 5: everyone we've worked with has been great. The aides in Cottage 5 are patient and understanding with the residents. The front desk receptionists and administration team have been kind, understanding and helpful when we have any concerns. Quality of care 4: overall the quality of care is excellent. I rate it a 4, only because our dad's clothes are constantly mixed up with other residents' clothes, no matter how well they are marked. (He doesn't care, but it's frustrating to some family members.) I really appreciate that medical, dental, podiatry and other services are regularly available so that we don't have to take our dad out for appointments. The aides in his cottage, that care for Dad day to day have been kind and professional. Activities 4: Many activities are available for residents who are able to participate, but our dad refuses to take part. He has gone on group outing in the van more often. But most of the residents in my dad's cottage seem to watch movies if an activity isn't scheduled in the activity room. I don't see a lot of interaction with residents otherwise. When family visits and weather permitting, he enjoys going out to the yard and gazebo.

I rate all categories a 5. She received a lot of attentive care. The food was excellent for a facility such as this. This is by far the best facility I have been in. I have been in more expensive and well-appointed places, but this far and away met all my picky expectations in terms of staffing, knowledgeable nurses, activities and dietary variety.

My grandparents moved into Van Mall when they could no longer take care of their home. We found Van Mall to have amazing and loving staff, fantastic food and lots of Activites. My grandparents couldn’t be happier. Well done Van Mall!

We checked out several retirement homes before we made our choice of Van Mall retirement. They have a record of long term staff which speaks volumes. They answered all our concerns and questions about senior care. We like the idea that your loved one doesn't have to move rooms if they later need assistance. They just bring the care to you and only charge per each need. Also, very loving staff and residents. A lot of events, entertainment and special holiday events. The activity lady is awesome. Plus, the dining room food was the best of the ones we checked out. They have a life enhancement class that has been wonderful for our mom it connects her to other residents and helps her to be social, engaged and stimulates her memory. There is a small fee for the class. They have church services every Sunday morning and a resident that is a retired pastor does a bi-monthly devotional. Mother is very well cared for at Van Mall.
