After she fell, the staff called to let me know they had found her on the floor and helped her back into bed. They asked whether I wanted her taken to the emergency room or allowed to rest. Because she had dementia and it was impossible to know whether she had hit her head, I asked them to call 911 and requested that someone stay with her until EMS arrived.\n\nI later learned that when EMS arrived, they found my mom on the floor a second time, indicating she had been left alone and had gotten up and fallen again. That was very upsetting and should not have happened.\n\nAside from that incident, Atria was an excellent fit for my mom. The quality of the staff, the cleanliness of the community, and the overall care were excellent.
