He loves the food and the 2 chefs have become his friends. They often come out and make sure my uncle doesn't have any complaints about his meal. They take requests from the residents on meals they would like to see on the menu. When my uncle needed a little physical therapy the staff developed a special therapy just for him. There are always activities for the residents going on in th activity room and they celebrate all the holidays. The head nurse, [Name Removed], checks on my uncle on a regular basis and communicates with me as to how she feels he is doing not only physically but emotionally too. Brookdale has 700 locations and Corporate makes business decisions that don't align with a \"home\" atmosphere. It feels like a business now. There should be a separate memory care wing. My mother sits at a table with a woman who has severe dementia and can be quite unfriendly which makes meals uncomfortable for others at the table. We were told before she moved in that new carpet would be installed after the first of the year in all of the hallways.
