The Sales manager gave me a very good tour of Brookdale. She answered my questions & gave me a lot of information as well as a packet to take home. It is a smaller facility and has an informal atmosphere. Although it is an older facility, it seems to be well maintained. There is not a lot of variety in the size of the apartments. None of the residents' closets appear to be walk-in size. Their courtyard is very inviting.

Monday through Friday the activities are great, but there is nothing available on the weekends. The staff are caring and the food is good. Yes, I would recommend Brookdale Hixson to other families based on the experience.

A clean, well kept facility. The dining room has exceptional food and services. Residents seemed happy and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that residents were expected to do all their self care and we were told that staff would assist with this. You need to be independent to reside here.

Staff here are very compassionate and caring. Several scheduled activities planned daily keep the residents active and promote socialization. Faculty and resident rooms are kept clean. The building is well maintained. An excellent place.

I recently visited my aunt at the community and she was happy with the food her apartment and the activities. She has made friends and enjoys socializing. She said the staff and nice and cater to her needs.

Overall experience - 5 the staff has been fantastic at helping our family navigate a very difficult time of loss and adjustment. Cleanliness- 5 the facility is always clean. Friendliness of staff - 5 the staff is always friendly and helpful Meals/Dining - 5my grandfather has had no complaints about the food. Quality of care - 5 the staff have always put my grandfathers care first and making sure that he gets what he needs and/or reaching out to the doctor if things are needed. Activities - 4 due to the fact my grandfather has not participated in a lot of activities, not sure if this is only due to choice or no interest in the offered activities. Value for cost - 4 the care is expensive but the quality is very good. The value is definitely there in the cost.

This has been as good an experience as I could have hoped. The staff seem to genuinely care for the residents. There aren’t activities on the weekends, but other than that mother has been happy with her stay.

I would definitely recommend before signing you ask for a copy of the agreement you're signing not the disappearing electronic version, and make sure it matches what the admission person promises you. The Nursing staff was good but overworked and they leave bt 6-7pm and no others meds can be given by caregivers. I was informed the director will never come in to administer a med after hours. Not true.

It is clean, everyone was friendly, they have lots of daily activities, they have a physical therapy room and the therapist visits several times a week, the food is good, the two courtyards are lovely and full of birds, cardinals, and lovely flowers- they even have a garden. We picked this community, because the dining room is lovely and all meals are brought to you at your table. The residents were active and in good spirits. The room was lovely and updated the decor us beautiful. There are snacks and drinks at any time. A beautician visits once a week.
