Harvester Place in Burr Ridge, Illinois has been providing memory care solutions for families for over five years. This community exclusively serves residents with memory care needs and seeks to provide personalized care. Located in the suburbs of Chicago, this community is a short drive or train ride away from all of the amenities the city offers, like delicious deep-dish pizza, shopping, Lake Michigan, baseball, and more. Chicago Midway Airport is also just a quick drive from Harvester Place.
Residents may also require additional services beyond memory care, which is why Harvester Place offers ambulatory care, diabetic care, personal care, and medication management. Community specialists are also available to provide supplemental services as needed. Staff are specially trained in memory care and are ready to help residents with their activities of daily living.
This community provides three meals a day for residents and is equipped to make dietary accommodations as needed. We had a very nice visit at Harvester in Burr Ridge. The staff were very attentive and involved with the residents. The facility was clean and welcoming. We were very satisfied with the visit. Unfortunately, we will not bring my husband there, it we will keep it in mind if we need something down the road.

This facility is amazing, the staff was great in explaining everything to me. The place is clean, the residents looked happy... I would absolutely leave my mom here unfortunately it is a little out of my price range at this time. However it is definitely worth it.

The friendliness of the staff is a 5+++. It was the only place out of the 8 I visited that gave me a good feeling when I left. The rest were fine, but for my mom's needs, I felt Harvester would give her the best care. I also liked that it was exclusively for memory care and not a "combo."

Everything about Harvester Place in bur ridge is great. My husband is doing fine an is very happy. I am very grateful to everyone there. When you can walk into a place an feel like your home you can't get any better than that. What stood out to us was how much easier is was to get around at this facility. So to me it would be better for my husband. I was more impressed by the workers with the patience new there names very friendly they truly care. Care takers have a hard job. But they make it look so easy. Everyone there goes out of there way to help you if you have any questions. They helped me and my husband. I knew right then an there this was the place for us.

The only place I would send a loved one with Dementia or Alzheimer's. We tried the most expensive place in the area and we were fleeced. Horrible care overpriced and they sent our loved one to a psychiatric ward several times. Harvester Place is the place.

We picked this community, because they had very engaging staff, activities and a bright colorful facility. [name removed] the Director is amazing very knowledgeable and accommodating. She knows all the residents and makes herself present in the community.[name removed] the Head Nurse is also very present and on top of the communities needs. It's an easy location right off the highway with a mall area close by .The facility is very clean and has a lot to offer.

They are very friendly and sound very caring and professional, but they do not follow through. They make lots of excuses. We fell for the friendly presentation, but found they do not have the skills to handle dementia patients and resort to extreme levels of medication to keep order. I found 2 pills of my loved ones medication on the floor under the bed along with huge dust bunnies the size of a woman's fist. This was about 6 weeks after move in. The medication is critical to be taken daily. They lost other medications and just stopped giving it to my loved one. I luckily asked and they at least shared honestly.

The home is clean and the rooms are spacious. Upon placing a loved one, request a sit-sown meeting with administration to share specifics about your loved one. Be aware that currently you can only visit in your lives one's room or in the common area in the lobby. This is different than majority of other homes in DuPage County. The nurses are available 24/7 to check on your loved one. Some of the aids seem inexperienced to assist with advanced memory care. At end of life, the administration and staff were very helpful and caring.
