The community is near medical offices and the Ahwatukee Foothills Towne Center, offering residents a range of restaurants and shops to explore. At Hawthorn Court at Ahwatukee, the goal is to help residents lead active, engaging lives. Through a Montessori-inspired philosophy of care, the community promotes resident wellness, independence, and self-expression. We would rate a 5 for all of them. Hawthorne Court has been an excellent location for my mother-in-law. We have seen a great deal of change in her abilities and happiness. The level of stimulation provided at the facility is excellent. The staff is all very friendly and positive. The administration has been hands-on and very welcoming. We are very pleased with her care. She is happy at this Hawthorn.

I was hopeful that things would be better than the last place we were at, but the food is absolutely not quality. The care seems to be OK but we have an outside caregiver giving one on one attention for 10 hours a day still.

My loved one is blind so consequently I could not give Activities a high rating since the facility is not equipped to provide the necessary activities to keep him active. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families, but with a warning to maintain realistic expectations.

Hawthorn Court has so many different activities and fun things for their memory care residents. They are Montessori inspired and that really makes a difference to our family. They do outings and give the residents a purpose while still maintaining a safe and secure community.

The staff are so great at getting to know the residents and all of their needs. You can really feel the friendships that are formed with the staff and the residents. They try very hard to find unique engagement opportunities for their residents and it shows on the faces of everyone there!

I have been to several events a t Hawthorn Court and the staff always goes out of their way to make sure everyone is taken care of and having a good time. Especially at their quarterly family dinners! I would recommend this community to anyone needing memory care and especially engagement!

I've been here a little over 2 years and it has been an amazing experience working with the staff and the residents. I finally found my "home" . One of the best things we've done here is the spark program and watching the residents do for themselves has really been a life changer. The residents really enjoy having their "jobs" and name badges.

Hawthorn court is special for the love and care the employees have for the residents. The facility is very homey and not pretentious. It's just like visiting your grandparents' house as a kid. I am delighted to know that the individuals that live at hawthorn are so well cared for.

We love the staff. I don't really know, about the meals and dining I haven't eaten the food but mom eats it all every time. They do activities constantly and some that involve families. Not having to worry is priceless

The staff members have been kind, professional and attentive during the day. At night my husband has called for help using his call button and rarely gets a response. Resulting in a call to the front desk from me in the middle of the night so that he can be attended to. I realize there is a staff shortage however someone should respond when a resident calls. The dining room staff are well meaning but his food is too often served cold. My husband has Parkinson's and is blind. There are no activities in which he can participate resulting in more isolation than what was presented during our initial visit. We had an incident in which the marketing director mislead us by stating something would be done to remove a large, bulky chair blocking a path for my husband to reach the bathroom. She stated the chair belonged to a previous resident and his family would soon remove it. After asking several times when the chair would be removed she finally told us the chair belonged to my husband's roommate. I met with the director and the nurse and they were very open to discussing our concerns. However, we never received an apology for the untruthful behavior by the marketing director.

We picked this community,because there's a certain atmosphere, it was like a familiy, and they were really genuine. They care about my family member. They a have trained chef. My first meal, included egg rolls, and fried. The presentation had a purple flower. It is really nice quality food. I would recommend to other families. They are just amazing.
