All About the money, beware!

They are all about the money!!! Our family was concerned by a recent billing change at Lone Mountain Memory Care. Even though medication management decreased due to increased family involvement, the facility reassessed my mother from Level 2 to Level 3 care, raising costs by about[Amount Removed] per month. My mother's ability did not change, just their algorithm. The algorithm changed in order to increase rent/care rates. Because we visit several times a week and closely monitor her care, the increase felt difficult to justify and financially driven rather than based on a clear change in needs. Families should ask detailed questions about how care levels are assessed and how pricing changes may affect monthly costs.

We understand that any change related to care assessments and monthly billing can create concern for families, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide additional clarification. To clarify, the care assessment algorithm itself did not change. During a recent review process, it was identified that an error within the care assessment tool was not appropriately adding points related to bathing support and assistance. As a result, residents requiring this level of support had not been consistently assessed or charged appropriately for this specific care element for an extended period of time. We recognize and appreciate the involvement of engaged family members and encourage all families to ask questions regarding assessments, care planning, and billing so that we may provide transparency and appropriate explanation regarding the services being provided. We would also respectfully ask that concerns be communicated constructively and through appropriate channels. Posting multiple negative reviews in an apparent effort to negatively impact the community’s online rating is discouraging to the team members who work hard every day to care for and support residents. While we fully understand that families may not always agree with decisions or outcomes, we believe respectful and direct communication is the most productive path toward resolution and understanding.

I toured this facility yesterday. The grounds and building were well maintained and cared for. The entire staff appears caring and compassionate. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The residents are very happy. [name removed] was very informative and answered all my question's and then some. I think it could be a good fit for my spouse.

RED FLAG

Our mother had fallen and fractured her pelvis. After a hospital and physical therapy stay, we knew she needed around-the-clock care. This was also the assessment of the Lone Mountain when they met with our mom. We chose Lone Mountain Memory Care based on their reputation and promises of quality care. Our mother was there for only eight days before we had to take her back to the hospital. She fell multiple times while in the care of Lone Mountain Memory Care. During these eight days, we had to make multiple trips and phone calls to the team to follow-up and make check-in calls which were promised. Lone Mountain Memory Care did not fulfill their care commitment, follow-through with medical escalation procedures and return our deposit which we were assured would be by the Director.

A godsend that we found this place

Lone Mountain took my mom in when no other facilities would take her due to her advanced Alzheimer's. While the physical facility is good, it really made no difference as the care, compassion and love we got from ALL the staff made this the best possible place for my mom. As she recently passed away I take great comfort knowing she was in such a caring facility with staff that I will never be able to properly thank. Every time I visited I looked forward to seeing her, the caregivers, and the other residents. They treat all of them like they are family - not something we experienced at the 2 other facilities she lived at prior.

It’s always a pleasurable experience when I visit Lone Mountain. The staff is always welcoming and making sure I have what I need. I can always see that all the patients are well cared for. My husband is thriving at Lone Mountain

My husband is thriving at Lone Mountain. The environment provides enriching activities that keep him active and involved throughout the day. At home he was often bored and anxious due to a lack of structured activities. Lone Mountain is large enough to meet the needs of residents at various stages of dementia. At this point there are a number of men who also need socialization and friendship with others who are at a similar functioning level. The staff is caring and kind.

A Great Place to Live

My sister has been at Lone Mountain for around 9 months. I visit her at least 3 times a week for a couple hours. The staff is amazing! They really care about their residents. An abundance of activities is always going on. They even have live musicians there at least twice a week! My sister loves it there, which I think is rare due to the type of facility. That's due to the respect all of the resident's receive. We never pass an employee without someone happily greeting my sister and calling her by name. I have gone all times of the day, just dropping in, and have never seen anything but a great facility. The food is delicious and nutritious, too.

My husband has been a resident at Lone Mountain Memory Care for a while now and I have found the caregivers to be very kind and caring. They are always interacting with the residents as well with the families. I am so glad to have found a facility such as this that is designed and dedicated only to memory care. All other facilities I toured were just a hall in an assisted living facility but were not set up for the needs of Alzheimer’s patients.

A fun place to live

I volunteer and do pet therapy at Lone Mountain Memory Care. The place is immaculate. The staff, and there is a lot of staff, is friendly and helpful. There are so many activities that the residents can participate in. It is a fun place with happy people.

A place filled with love and quality care offering peace of mind.

Moving back to Arizona, it was essential that we find a care facility to provide for the needs of my Mother with Alzheimer’s. As we began our search, Ii didn’t take long for us to decide that Lone Mountain Memory Care was the place for her. The staff is caring and professional with qualified nursing staff on site 24/7. The rooms and facility are beautiful with two outdoor courtyards, daily activities, and delicious food. Nine months ago, we had to make the incredibly difficult decision to move my dad into Lone Mountain Memory Care due to Alzheimer’s. It was one of the hardest choices our family has ever faced, but we are beyond grateful we found this place. From the very beginning, every staff member has shown genuine love, patience, and compassion — they truly treat the residents like family. The facility is clean, bright, and thoughtfully laid out to provide both comfort and safety. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the residents are clearly well cared for. The team goes above and beyond with daily activities, celebrations, and personal attention, making each day meaningful. You can feel the warmth and dedication the moment you walk in. Outstanding Care & Support

I recently visited my Mom at this community. Each time I visit, I am pleased to observe and experience the exceptional care provided to each resident. They are treated with dignity, respect, patience, and a smile - whether it is providing medication, serving meals, leading an activity, or talking with a resident and/or family member. All of the activities are very creative, applicable to the season, and engaging. I'm so grateful that my Mom has the opportunity to participate in outings away from the building, as well as enjoy the various individuals that come to the community to provide entertainment, education and fun. The most important factor is that my Mom is happy and loves the staff.

Overall wonderful!

Lone Mountain Memory Care is a very very special place. The staff are caring attentive and helpful both to the resident and the family that is struggling with not only the decision to place their loved one there but all the things that come up after the decision is made and the placement is done. Such a hard thing to do in the first place but even harder after it is done. The activities they are involved in with other residents and with the families are above and beyond terrific. All the staff from caregivers nurses and management know every single persons name be it resident or family and make everyone feel at ease. I would love to see a support group established for just the Lone Mountain families. I had so many questions and being new had no idea what to expect until I met one of the other wives. A group would be able to prepare you for the bad days and the good days. Explaining the billing process and how the expenses are done would also be very helpful. Thank You Lone Mountain!

I recently spent time with the staff and residents of Lone Mountain Memory Care at an event outside the community, and it was a truly moving experience. The staff were just as warm and attentive in that setting as they are within their walls. Their care is consistent, heartfelt, and deeply personal. What stood out most was how engaged the residents were. Lone Mountain provides them with so many opportunities to live life and be active. Whether it’s outings, social events, or everyday interactions, the environment encourages joy, dignity, and connection. As someone whose grandmother lived with Alzheimer’s, I found myself wishing she could have experienced this kind of care. Lone Mountain is more than a facility. My mom feels at home at Lone Mountain Memory Care!

Lone Mountain memory care makes their residents feel like they are at home. The staff is very friendly and caring. There are plenty of activities for the residents to engage in! They have dogs that come to provide emotional support and kittens that live there as well! Such a great community to be a part of! My mom feels at home here! They are always busy going places ,lunch,dinner,baseball games,dancing, listening to music, swimming. They do it all!

My wife is a resident

My wife has frontotemporal dementia, which is a fairly rare form of dementia. In interviewing various facilities, I found management at Lone Mountain to be knowledgeable of that form of dementia and the behavioral differences between that and Alzheimer’s. Management and each and every staff member are fantastic. They treat each resident as a family member and sincerely seem to enjoy their job, working with each resident and their coworkers. They also treat family members very well. Truly a remarkable group of people. My wife has been at Lone Mountain for I year now and I am extremely grateful for the level of care she receives.

my husband is a resident at Lone Mountain

Having a loved one with Alzheimers/Dementia is not only difficult but heartbreaking. Deciding to put my husband into Lone Mountain was extremely difficult, but it was a good decision. This place is filled with kindness, understanding, and excellent care. The staff amazes me as they extend their care to all residents with willing graciousness. They all knew my husband's name within hours and did everything possible to make him feel welcome. They have extended their kindness to me as well. Activities abound. Musical events are especially popular and therapeutic. There are appropriate games, nourishing meals, and even field trips. I am forever grateful that we found Lone Mountain.
