I would recommend Morningside of Raleigh
The staff is very friendly & caring & they all learned my mother in law's name almost immediately. She seems to like the food & some of the activities. Her room is large enough for her & the whole facility is overall very clean. I would recommend the community to others.

Morningside of Raleigh is a charming Five Star Senior Living community nestled amid a residential area in Raleigh, North Carolina. Feel at ease knowing multiple hospitals are within driving distance of the community, with the closest being less than 5 miles away.
The community provides personalized assisted living, memory care, respite care, and rehabilitation services. The memory care program is Five Star’s Bridge to Rediscovery Alzheimer’s and dementia care, which offers individualized care that focuses on seniors' remaining skills and works to add new ones. Round-the-clock, specially trained caregivers and on-site nurses are available to supervise care seniors in memory care as well as assisted living. In addition to quality care, the community offers a variety of apartment options including spacious studios, shared suites, companion suites, and one-bedrooms.
Lifestyle360 is a holistic activities program used by Five Star Senior Living properties. These activities may include arts and crafts, gardening, fitness classes, and more. Additionally, seniors are encouraged to socialize during themed diners, holiday parties, and live entertainment. Plus, the community’s Ageility gym hosts speech, physical, and occupational therapy. Nutritious, chef-prepared meals are served in the classy, restaurant-style dining room. I arrived a little early and sat in the entrance lobby, which was also the sitting area for residents’ activities. Both staff and residents appeared happy and knew each other by name. The day was set for Dolly Parton and staff was dressed to impress in Dolly Partin attire. The atmosphere was festive and light. [name removed], Director of sales, was exceptionally knowledgeable and accommodating. It was here that I learned that most of the Assistant Living places will not accept Medicaid payments after the funds are depleted, which is what I had been told by a social worker in another town. The facility was to my liking and [name removed] introduced me to all aspects of the program. Excellent place for those who can pay for Memory care for an extended period of time , if necessary. Follow up was great. Thanks

The staff was wonderful and the resident seemed very happy. It seemed like it was well organized. I thought that the meal plans and the calendar for activities were very nice

I started with the Sunrise group and viewed multiple facilities. Another competitor recommended Terra Bella group. Morningside was the second facility that I toured in that group and selected. Very nice facility and the staff is consistent. Best prices.

Very friendly and caring staff. Clean facility. Room size is adequate with private bath and they can provide small refrigerator in room. TV in common room with lounge chairs. Aquarium with fish in parlor.

I was very impressed with the facility and my tour guide, [name removed]. [name removed] was very professional. She explained everything in great detail. I was introduced to other staff members, which was a nice touch.

The staff is high in competency and social interaction. My sister really likes them. She also appreciates good meals in the cafeteria with the same group so she gets to know people. As her family, although we can't spend more time with her, we feel she is well cared for. They allow her to help in ways she would like too. The communication with family is good.

[name removed] did the tour and she was upbeat and positive. Facility was clean however needs some updating in some areas. Rooms are small but may encourage more social involvement in group activities. Loved the fish tank.

I thought the tour was nice, [name removed] was very cordial and the place looked good and had a good feel to it. I live in north raleigh and although time wise its not but 20 minutes I do not like having to go on the beltline to go somewhere but I guess I could get used to it. I am moving my mom up here from new bern so funds are the #1 deciding factor unfortunately and here Morningside is about $[removed] higher than the facility I am now leaning towards. Morningside was my second choice and I may have considered it more strongly had the price been similar....thanks for the courtesy and your time.

I like the staff. The food is very good. Atmosphere and staff interaction with residents is great. Need more attention to daily housekeeping. Laundry and changing bed linens needs to be timely.

Was not please with this facility. The staff were pleasant but our family could see a quick decline in Mother and it just didn't fit her personality based on her health. No offense but I would not recommend this Assistant Living facility to anyone.

Our choices were limited because of my dad's situation. Looking back at it, it was a good experience. The staff/techs were great to my dad. The medical staff embedded were great & caring. Most of any negatives were really just my dad's attitude & not really attributable to MSR.

When talk with them about a concern, will get better for a short time & then go back until I raise my concern again. Example - have had to remind them about laundry, shaving, cutting fingernails. He is mobile & able to bathe and dress himself , but need reminders with putting dirty clothes in laundry basket, etc. They need more activities that men are interested in.

I have nothing but good things to say about Morningside of Raleigh. The staff from the front desk, business manager, cleaning staff to the nurses and care techs are all friendly and caring. The staff knows all the residents by name. The rooms are spacious and kept clean, there is even a bird feeder outside my husband’s window. The food is tasty and filling.snacks and hydration stations are in multiple areas of the community. There are a lot of activities and outing the residents can join in on. Overall we have had a very positive experience.

Needless to say we are not very happy right now. Quality of care and keeping room clean was good at first. But it has steadily gone downhill to the point we are looking at other options.
