Devoted to what they are doing

Palouse Hills is such a nice facility. They are really dedicated to what they are doing and it was quite a bit cheaper than others in the area. The turnover is very low because the lady who runs it has been here for a really long time. I would always see the same people rotating through here. The other neat thing is they have tons of volunteers here as well so the staff to resident ratio is great.

Dad Is Very Active Now

My father really loves it here and he is doing very well. He is very happy here and I am pleased. The community is nice, they keep the facility very clean. The care givers are amazing and they do a very good job of caring for my father. The administrator is new, so there was a few problems. He has become very active and participates in many of the activities. He never misses a meal, so I'm pretty sure the food is good. I would say to anyone thinking about moving here, just stay on top of things and the administration. Overall I would recommend it.

Review of Clark Place in Moscow, ID

Very expensive; they won't take medicare. I have NOT been impressed with the training given to the staff. I'm disappointed with the quality of the food most of the time. We should have more Real Nurses handling medications.

Tips for evaluating your community options

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Assisted Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Know Idaho’s regulations for memory care. Each state has its own laws and inspection processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the communities you’re considering. Learn more about Idaho’s regulations for memory care and download the Guide to Senior Living Licensure and Inspection Reports.

  • Tour the location. Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and it helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services. Before committing, make sure that the community offers all the services your loved one needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.
