The people were very nice and I had a good visit. They showed me the rooms and the layout of the facility. They told me what services and activities are available for the inhabitants.

My brother needs simple 5 to 10 minute help each day to make sure he has put on clean Depends and disposed of them properly. Then the pads for his chairs and bed need changed each day. Wouldn't take long and sounds simple enough but he needs that help and doesn't seem to get it.

After our experience with season we wonder why they're still operating as a care facility... When [name removed] went in he could transfer from bed to wheelchair... When he got out he went to the hospital with atrophied legs, pneumonia, and head lice... He can no longer transfer or move himself around... This is not what we paid almost $[removed] for.

Food was always cold when delivered to my Mom. I believe she had bed bugs in her too but no one informed me. There was only one cleaning person so the room and bathroom was dirty at times. Laundry was not completed in a timely manner. They were frequently understaffed.

The leadership team is wonderful. A few CNAs perform their job well, but for some, I am daily writing notes for tasks that were not accomplished. Some sanitary issues are not followed for my mother's care. The staff-to-resident ratio appears low. My main issue is slow reaction by staff when emergency call button is activated by residents. Furniture in rooms need replaced. Most rooms are exceptionally small. Meals served are very good per my mother, generous portions, and fresh. Activities are constantly ongoing and well executed. (I am at the facility on a daily basis for visitation.)

Our family had an in person tour and while the staff members were very friendly and extremely wonderful to deal with, to put it bluntly it smelled terrible in the place. We thought maybe there has to be a leaky toilet or pipe somewhere .

there are many reasons why I would not recommend Seaton but mainly concern over too many medications. His room always smelled of urine and looked unclean. His deteriorating health and personality suggested that the whole picture of care had problems. I could go on but basically would not recommend this facility.

I've only been to Seaton Hagerstown a couple times, but my brother seems to like it there. Everybody there, including the residents, seems friendly. My brother is very friendly and has talked to just about everyone he sees. He says some people respond and some don't. Some people don't want to talk I assume, but he's made friends with several people in his vicinity that he goes down to have dinner with. One of the things he said when I first visited was, "I really like it here, I don't want to leave". I think he felt more at ease there as opposed to his previous living situations. I like that they lock the doors and you need a passcode to get in. That provides a sense of security knowing that the residents can't leave. He has a window view and enjoys seeing the cats outside. I'm pleased with them and compared to other communities we saw, I think that Seaton is the best fit for him. Although he has some memory complications, he seems content there.

We knew right when we pulled in that this would probably not be the best place for my loved one. We loved the director who showed us around, but the atmosphere was just not what we were looking for.

Seaton Hagerstown is a comfortable place to be. they communicate with friends and family by giving us a call regarding our loved ones care and needs. they have an actual mailing billing system, which breaks down what's due and how to pay. the entire community is all on one floor and the care for assisted living is tiered. the care ranges from supervision, medication delivery, and on upward. the more care you need, the cost goes up - you aren't paying for more than what you're receiving. there's a really nice covered pergola area with comfortable chairs where u can sit outside on nice days. they do have transportation for doctor appointments and other errands. housekeeping comes in once a week for a deep cleaning. they're also there on an "as needed" basis throughout the week. amenities for the room includes laundry, which is taken care of by the staff on a weekly basis. you just sit your hamper outside your door and they'll return it clean. they also offer free cable tv and internet. it's been an overall good experience for my loved one.

Our loved one was only there for a little for respite care and did not get a chance to participate in the activities just due to the covid restrictions. However the staff were very friendly and responsive every time we called. We would recommend this community to others if it benefited the individual's needs

Would like to thank Seaton Hagerstown for taking my husband in their home. He has dementia, he is in the memory care unit. He has been there for 4 months, He seems to enjoy it there, and everyone is terrific with him. It's not a fancy place, it's very simple, but that's the way he has lived all his life. They take very good care of him, he likes everyone there. They make you feel welcome, and you can ask them questions anytime. They are always there for you.

When you first went in, it was kind of dusty like they hadn’t cleaned it. It just had a dark feeling. So I knocked it off of our list right away.

My loved one had a medical emergency and had to move out shortly after moving in, but they've been very nice. It seems like all the employees are very friendly and helpful. It seems to be a very pleasant place to be. When we moved in, his bathroom wasn't clean and wasn't set up with towels and things. But they handled any concerns we had immediately. I never felt like they blew us off. They took care of anything we needed

Be very cautious with medications and this community. Medications were not given correctly to my loved one and some were left over. There was none left over on the others. Be very cautious with giving them instructions because they did not follow instructions. My loved one overate and they did not place restrictions as advised. He was also not supposed to watch t.v. and he did this all day. I voiced my concerns about all of this and no one ever got back to me. The staff were wonderful in the beginning and we spoke about everything and we were all on the same page. Once he went in everything completely changed.
