They have 3 choices on meals and know one does that with their residents that have Dementia/Alzheimer's! Their pricing is very low compared to other facilities that offer so much less. The place is bright, airy and super clean and not once did I smell a urine odor. Other places out of 5 different ones I did and these places were higher priced and offered so little to their residents. Once she moved in we don't really see them much\n6. I feel we were mislead on food. They assured us the had gluten free but from some issues mom has had it's not truly gluten free. Ex: the bread may be gluten free but when it's warmed or toasted with other bread it is no longer gluten free - it is contaminated for someone with gluten issues. Another thing is the good was exceptional in the beginning but not always edible now. Another time they had chicken salad sandwich. Mom asked for the chicken salad without bread and was told she could have a sandwich or nothing. I hear others complaining now too so it's not just us.\n7. Mom has been ill and hasn't participated in many activities but they do have something all the time.\n8. My wife used hearing aids and the medical staff didn't know she needed help putting them in and taking them out. When I first brought them in they were stored in a medical room. I had to tell the person in charge of the wing where they were being stored and no one got them to her.\n[name removed]suffered a fall and had to be hospitalized. She got 6 stitches on the side of her head. No one knows why she fell and the hospital only treated her injury without looking into the cause. Two days later the nurse at Delaney said she wasn't doing well and sent her back to the hospital. She was seen in the emergency department and later transferred to the ICU. I was told she was transferred and she wasn't doing good. I got there and was told she was going downhill. An hour later the nurse came in and told me her tests came back and they didn't think she would make it through the night. She died within a couple of hours. Someone dropped the ball and I don't know if it was the nurse at Delaney or the hospital. Overall not a positive experience. [name removed] lasted four weeks after placing her in Delaney. I'm not trying to point a finger at anyone.
