Looking for assisted living options for Mom. Knowledgeable and experienced staff seem genuinely interested in understanding her needs and how Somerby could meet them.

Not quite sure who came up with the idea of calling the senior years “golden years”, there are a lot of challenges you encounter at this time in your life, some are just life on life’s terms but some really blind side you. One unexpected really pleasant experience for me was moving to Somerby’s, first of all the community is beautiful, like living at a resort, the staff is friendly & seem to really enjoy being here, many residents have had years of interesting experiences & are fun to talk to, food is good, medics are available, physical therapy & so much more & best of all my husband of 57 years & I can still be together. No cooking, cleaning or laundry to do…..yes….these are the Golden Years, thanks to Somerby’s.

My mother was at another memory care center that we loved before moving to Somerby Edgewater. We have found Somerby Edgewater to be a step above in every area! The rooms are large, bright, very clean, and sunny; the staff is wonderful and very considerate and respectful to the residents; food seems to be homemade with great variety and lots of choices for the residents; activities are active and engaging; and is at a very reasonable cost. We are extremely happy with Somerby Edgewater!

Everything is going along fine. Somerby is a wonderful place.

As far as upfront discussions [name removed] was very helpful and also very forthcoming about levels of care and what to expect now and in the future. I do not anticipate we will run into the issues we did at the previous facility regarding levels of care and limitations.

When it became clear I could no longer take care of my wife, I began visiting care facilities. We decided on the Enclave after I met with [name removed]. She was very caring the whole time my wife was there. I also liked how bright and open the dining area was compared to other facilities. In the assisted living area, the food was good, and I felt the aids did their best to keep up with my wife’s needs. The cleaning person was very friendly and did a great job with her laundry. As my wife’s condition worsened, they discussed her needs with me and she was moved to the memory care unit. Once she was moved, her condition rapidly deteriorated. They then discussed approaching hospice to give her more care. Although this turned out to be a great benefit to my wife, it was very scary to me. I don’t think I realized the degree of her decline. Hospice in partnership with Enclave worked together to give my wife the best care possible until her passing. They were all also very kind and caring to me.

We were there for an hour and a half. We saw the main building facilities, including a room where movies are shown, the dining room, indoor pool, exercise area and games room. Then we saw a two bedroom apartment and a villa.

That facility is clean, well staffed with caring professionals. My mom is kept busy with activities suited to her abilities and allowed to nap. She is kept clean as well as her apartment. I get regular updates

Very Friendly. Very knowledgeable. Answered all my questions. Talked with the staff. They are pet friendly. I have a indoor cat. Studio apartment was small. A beautiful place to live. Living inside provides me safety. Walking the grounds because I like to walk. I am touring different Assisted Living Places planning for the future.

The staff you have is GREAT, especially [names removed]. The front desk is great, the nurses are great. The food isn't perfect, but still, GREAT. To improve food, the delivery system needs to be more efficient. The staff is waiting around sometimes for an hour for the food to show up. This causes some bewilderment among the residents. Also, a waste of the staff's time. The housekeeper is very friendly and good at her job. The front desk is very nice.

My husband and I had a wonderful tour at the summer village campus. [name removed] did a great job of listening to us. She talked about the accommodations that were important to us. We really enjoyed meeting the other residence there and talking to them briefly. We enjoyed seeing the facilities and cottages and assisted living areas that are available. We will definitely be bringing my mom and dad to have a tour.

We've been extremely happy with our experience placing my mom at Somerby Franklin. The staff is wonderful and my mom keeps very busy between games, puzzles, movies, exercise classes and all the therapy- physical, speech, and occupational. It's very clean and she's happy with the size and layout of her studio. It's nice and bright and everything she needs fits. She's so thankful to be there and knowing she's loved and well cared for means the world to me.

Somberly has been an excellent fit for my mother in law. She started in assisted living when she injured her back. She recovered there with their assistance and PT and OT. She now lives in the Independent Living and is happy there .The community is very positive, the involvement is necessary for a positive experience. Obviously that varies from person to person but she is social and is having a great experience going on outings and shopping. She is even involved in the culinary board. She's made friends and tries to make new people feel welcomed. The initial dining was an adjustment but they try to be welcoming to newcomers. It helps when the family is involved in the transition

The administration is friendly and trying to take care of requests. The food needs a little more variety. They did a survey for July request, so we will see how it goes. They need more activities. Need a full staff, caregivers, maintenance, housekeeping and dining room servers.

[name removed] was very helpful and answered all my questions as I toured [communities removed]. She has the sweetest personality and does her job well.

I had a very good experience with [name removed]! The tour was very informative and I got to meet the Chef([name removed])! We are working on the paperwork now and hope to get my wife’s admission soon!

[name removed] did an excellent job of showing me both Magnolia Place and Camelia Place. The two places are both part of Summer Village. They are quite a bit different from each other in that one is two story and more compact looking and the other is one story and more expansive looking.

Every single staff, member, or admin, who is friendly, courteous, helpful, and so very kind. Absolutely would recommend to anyone, the building itself is beautiful and clean. The grounds are lovely and immaculately cared for and the staff could not be more knowledgeable and friendly. It truly felt like Home.
