The rating above really depends on the care giver that is provided. But overall it would be a 4/5. The company seems to be really attentive and they are very accommodating, if we do not like one care giver they do not have a problem replacing them. The people we spoke with when looking for a company were very nice and everything seems to be going pretty good.

I liked the staff that I have talked to, now it is a matter of convincing the folks they need the assistance.

Dad felt comfortable with caregiver from Comfort Keepers. There seem to be a connection. I think we're ready to move on to the next step whatever that is.

Overall we are satisfied with this home care agency. The caregivers are nice and help with light housekeeping and an occasional meal. I have noticed that sometimes the office staff can be a little technical in their demeanor. Part of me wishes this service was started by a nurse. There is a minimum of services you have to pay for.

The young lady they sent me is very, very good, she is outstanding. The company as business managers, I have a problem with. I have been flexible with the scheduling, and have tried to keep with their minimum, however they have not been very fair or flexible with me. It's important to be very clear about how they charge based on the length of your shift. I chose them because I liked how responsive and professional. The quality of the interactions with their agency have been very good, I will say that.

We have had a good experience with the second caregiver. The office staff were very good when we set up the service. The caregiver is there for companionship, some light housework and to help take mom to her appointments. The one thing I did not like is they did not give us a choice or a description of the caregivers they sent out.

We didn't have a good experience overall with this service. While the caregivers were outwardly friendly, and performed all the care adequately, there were some major issues. During the time we were using this service a $20,000 silver set disappeared. We can't prove it was the caregivers, but the list of who it could be is very short. We also believe they may have been covering up signs of my loved one's declining health so that we would not discontinue using their service to place him in an assisted living community.

For the most part I had a positive experience and ultimately hired one of the caregivers full-time. The biggest problem I had with them was I requested older caregivers as opposed to young 20 year old kids. For the most part they were able to accomodate that but I did have one serious problem with one young kid. They stole a bunch of jewelry and it was never recovered. The girl just disappeared off of their network, she just didn't show up one day and we didn't even think about it until a week later when things were coming up missing. It was partly our fault too because she would leave things out but it never got resolved.

They're pretty good but I seem to have one person after the other. It's a problem because I have to show people where things are and how to get thigns done so I find myself repeating things. The care is okay, I don't need nursing care particularly, my problem is I've lost a lot of my vision so I can't read so I need help reading my mail or reading recipes. Some of them are more able than others, it depends on their command of the English language. They vary from a 5 to a 2 or 3; it's not that they weren't nice people, but they didn't speak English and what I need is someone who has a better command of the English language.

So far the service is being good. The staff had been good in call me for visiting nurse and when there someone else is coming if there is any problem.

We hired Comfort Keepers for 24/7 care for our mother b/c we are out of town and Mom lives in her home alone. She has Alzheimers. To their credit, most of the people they hire are loving, caring and conscientious people. Unfortunately, their claim of specially trained persons for dementia is incredibly overstated. We had 2 care givers that had to go b/c inattentive. ONe couldn't walk with Mom b/c of sore knee. When Mom took off by herself, the caregiver went inside and called comfort keepers and let Mom leave her sight! She had a car! Another more reliable caregiver was called in and was able to find Mom and calm her down and bring her home with help of our separately hired care manager. We have asked for their "care plan" for Mom and they have yet to produce one. They have a problem with the caregivers texting or calling family (out of state) when there is an issue. (Comfort Keepers won't allow it) They want caregivers to call Comfort keepers, who then call us, then comfort keepers calls the caregiver back. This does not work when time is of the essence, and often the office personnel does not take the tie to flesh out the problem or listen to caregiver's report. I have heard this is the best around....uh-oh, nowhere else to go? They are not nice or responsive to their own staff and often leave them unprepared to face a particular case assigned to them. Dementia training does not really happen. If you are lucky, you will be assigned a caregiver who has personal experience from their own family (which is great!) but the company does not provide training. Communication with office staff is a big problem, it's like playing the telephone game in elementary school. By the time the information is conveyed to caregiver on sight, it is quite different than originally communicated by family.

The caregiver we had for my mom was able to assist her in her home. Recently that person got into an accident and is unable to be with mom. The agency has found a new caregiver for us to provide the same care she had before.

I had the chance to sit down with this agency to find a good caretaker for my mom. The meeting went good and we picked out a caretaker. When the caretaker came over I found that my mom's personality and the caretaker were not compatible. The caretaker was a nice women but did not work right for mom. This agency is professional and did a good job trying to help accommodate our needs with no negativity.

They're fine. I think there having trouble getting more employees. I would say they need more employees that have experience working with Dementia Patients. The current care giver we have now is great. This is an agency that sends care givers to my home.

The value with Comfort Keepers was very good, but it turned out not to be exactly what we needed. We were new to the process and they probably could have done a little better job educating us. We were content that they had good value for the services they had to offer.

We used Comfort Keepers briefly and were not impressed by the service. After a few instances of tardiness and scheduling difficulties with the caregivers we decided to try and find a service that would be more reliable.

This provider turned out to be MUCH too far away. The caregiver was all right, but the company was a bit irritating. Dad's care needs have improved, and I need to find a new option that is much closer.
