After touring many facilities, we found Grand Brook to be exceptional. The whole building was for memory care, not a locked down wing in a big facility, truly a beautiful place to call home. Staff is AMAZING, you can come and go as you please at any time of the day. You can have a meal with your loved one, beautiful out door setting. Just can't say enough good things about this place.

My mother-in-law has Alzheimers and is currently living at Autumn Leaves of Carrollton. She LOVES it there. They take her on outings and she participates in all kinds of activities. Friday afternoons they do Karaoke and the families are encouraged to come and participate with the residents. Families are welcome to participate in any of the activities that they do with the residents. The staff is very friendly and my mother-in-law consistently comments how "nice they are here." The only issue we've had is their laundry service. They keep misplacing her sheets and comforter, but they are always willing to look for it when it turns up missing.

Our family was totally taken by surprise by my Wife's diagnosis of Dementia. We scrambled to find out as much as possible about the disease. We were advised by Medical personnel to seek a facility where she could be properly cared for in order to give me, her husband, some relief. Our search ended when we came to Grand Brook. None of the other facilities were as well taken care of, comfortable or had that "homey feeling" of being welcome there. The personnel, from the Administration to the facilities upkeep persons were all friendly and supportive. Questions were answered and fears removed. We have been using Grand Brook for many months now and have no complaints. They take excellent care of my wife, she enjoys being there and looks forward to each visit. I trust the staff because they have been very reliable and honest. I would highly recommend Grand Brook to anyone needing to find a good facility to care for their loved one.

I moved my mother who is 95 into Grand Brook, Fishers Indiana over a month ago. She has had dementia for the past four years. We had her in a different facility for over a year and were not pleased. So we moved her to Grand Brook. What a wonderful facility. The people are great the care is great the food is great I recommend them highly for anyone with memory care needs. It is a small facility. And a very bright and open facility. The courtyard will be beautiful this summer. They have a kitchen where they cook the food so that the residents can smell it cooking right there where they are eating. Everyone is trained As I said I would recommend it highly if you’re looking in this area.

Mom has made friends and is happier than she's been in a long time.

Out of all the places I visited, I liked this one best of all for my husband with dementia. We are truly like family now, and although every place has their issues & concerns, Autumn leaves staff will work with & fix any issues we may have. Always a great atmosphere & fun activities for the residents as well as family events. The food is delicious as well as nutritious & they make sure they get what each resident needs, I’m really thankful I found this place so I can relax & know my husband is well cared for.

My dad was actually at the Grand Brook at Allen, not Garland, but our experience was wonderful! I would highly recommend all of the Grand Brook Memory Care facilities to anyone who needed them. My dad was seen and valued as an individual, not just another resident, and all the residents were treated this way. Their needs were met according to what they needed as an individual not in a generic manner. They were always treated with dignity and respect. It seems that Grand Brook seeks to hire staff with a heart for people with memory care needs and this makes a huge difference in the care each person receives. No place is going to be perfect but my concerns were always addressed in a prompt manner and with my dad's best interest at heart. The facility is open, beautiful, and clean and very much has a family-like atmosphere. The smallest details are attended to and considered in all aspects whether it be the residents' needs, their rooms, the food, dining area, and/or group areas. Our entire family loved Grand Brook at Allen and those who visited my dad were very impressed. The last 6 months of my dad's life were very happy ones because of the care he received at Grand Brook at Allen! I would highly recommend Grand Brook to anyone looking for a place for a loved one with memory care issues.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful care mom received during her short stay at this community. The entire staff were great with her and the kitchen staff tried to make sure she had food she liked. The community worked well with the hospice team. The caregivers eat with the residents and encourage them to be social. I have already recommended this community.

What sets Stoneybrook-Garland apart from any other facility is the incredibly consistent care, genuine concern for your loved one and friendliness of their caregivers and staff. My mother has been at Stoneybrook for three and a half years and the other impressive part of our experience has been the unusually low employee turnover on their caregiver staff. Probably more than 75% of the caregiver staff that was there when we came to Stoneybrook are still there today, three and a half years later. The three questions I always ask my mother each time I visit are (1) is everyone being nice, (2) is the food still good, and (3) do you want to move somewhere else? She always responds yes, yes and no, this is my home.

My husband and I are very satisfied with the care our loved one receives at Stoneybrook Memory Care. Margaret never had children, but we have been close friends for about 50 years. Her family lives in California, and are unable to care for her needs. So we are blessed to be her family here. We are so thankful that she is able to live at Stoneybrook. The staff and caregivers are so loving and kind, as well as very professional. We always recommend this facility to anyone who has a need.

This was formerly an Autumn Leaves. Like Autumn Leaves, there were so many windows and lots of light. The courtyards were pretty. Almost all of the residents were participating in the scheduled activity. I appreciated the fact that dining was divided into three sections based on the level of care needed. Since my dad needs help in the shower, I liked the fact that the shower is not located in the room. The rooms were also a really good size. Most of all, the staff really seemed engaged with the residents. Cost was about the same as other similar facilities, but the difference was the cost is all inclusive.

Mark has been there over a week now at Stoneybrook Memory Care of Mckinney. I can not say enough good things. Staff are wonderful. I am there almost every day, and the staff are so good with the residents. So very pleased. Hard to put a spouse in a home, but know he is now safe. Thank you all. Brought in our two grandaughters, ages 4 and 8. Staff were so good with them and the residents were so happy to see young people. Made me happy. I am trying to remember the resident's names. All of them are so kind and seem happy. So many activities also!! Did not realize that they are still so lucid. Good for them!

Room size was good. Not big but not cramped. His room looked into the front. The staff was very good. Surprisingly low turnover. But, like any place, you have to go often and at various times. Activities seemed good for most of the residents. [name removed] did a good job with painting nails and playing games they seemed to like. Music activities were very good. Food was predictable but they seemed ready to eat. I came a lot at lunch and dinner and the meals (casseroles a lot) seemed balanced. Dad complained the coffee was hot in the am! Room was not cleaned like I would have cleaned it. They were short janitorial staff most of Dads stay but if I requested a vacuuming or cleaning they jumped on it. It's expensive but seems well maintained and the staff knows everyone very well. Hires a new Lpn while I was there. So with Dad being in Hospice didn't really interact there much.

I wish they were a little more responsive to requests and inquiries about more minor health situations. That said, Mom's health since she moved in has been pretty strong and they have been responsive on the important things, so overall I believe they are watching her health pretty closely. Mom has shown improvement in her daily self care, ability to hold conversations and in her day-to-day outlook. She has gained needed weight and is getting regular activity that seems to be helping her mobility. She seems to feel secure - she doesn't seem fearful all the time. She seems to be thriving on the social interaction with residents and staff and never misses the many activities. They frequently have live music and you'll always find her getting other residents up dancing. She loves that part!

They have very friendly staff. Good apartment size, activities and family gatherings once a month.

The janitorial service definitely needs improvement. Staff is competent, truly seems to care and most have been there for several years. Med techs are good. Room is adequate. Dining seems rather blah.... too many casserole dishes. Not much imagination. But dementia patients probably don't realize that . Activities are proportionate to the space, time and population. But probably could have some more imagination too. Their building is ready for some updates but they know that. They finally got an executive director in there and she has made improvements.

Nice place, nice people

They were wonderful. Cared for each person as an individual. Unfortunately, they have limited medical. So when [name removed]needed a catheter he could no longer live there. It was sad.

What we like the most about the community is the friendliness, responsiveness to the families and the peaceful atmosphere. Yes, we would recommend Grand Brook Memory Care to other families.
